My brother and late father shared the same exact name, except that my brother added a "Jr." to his last name.

Our father died in April and this is going to be the first Christmas without him, and now I'm addressing these Christmas cards. Should I still add a "Jr." to my brother's name, or is he no longer a "Jr." because Dad is no longer with us?

Should we be allowed to remove people from a theater if they are yapping on their cell phone? Can we take them outside and flog them with barbed wire?

When I am at home I tend to say whatever I like. But lately have been curtailing my cursing as it is a sign of below average intelligence. Lately I have been changing from the common "AWW ***" to more reasonable phrases. I say fish sticks instead of *** at work, or I will say "Poop sauce!" sometimes. Just wondering what sort of exclamation you use, or do you use any at all? Is this a regional thing?

I work in a cube farm with incredibly noise-channeling materials (you can hear a pin drop in any cube adjacent to yours) and all day I have to listen to my co-worker baby-babble talk with his girlfriend ("hey gorgeous, oozie boozie boo you are so cute boozie boo you are so sexy cute...") at least 5-6 times a day. Isn't it excessive/co-dependent to talk to your SO/spouse several times a day at work, and obnoxious to subject others to your lovey dovey dribble? Oh and he chews his gum with his mouth wide open and pops bubbles...want to punch through the wall

Ok, picture this: you and your sweetie have made reservations at Pepe le Phew's for two. You are looking forward to telling your beloved all about the great new position you may be in line for after the latest company re-org.

You are seated, and are playing with the water and the bread basket, when a family with three small (under 6) children is seated right next to you.

What is your instinctual reaction?

Thanks for playing the game!

December 6th would have been my fiance's son's birthday. He passed away in 1999 from cancer. I was thinking of putting something on his tombstone. Him, his ex-wife, and their son are meeting at the cemetary to put flowers on the grave.

I want to acknowledge this day somehow..any ideas? Would it be tacky of me to place something at his gravesite? Should I maybe just give my man a card? Your thoughts - thanks in advance.

So I live in an apartment and my next door neighbor is SO LOUD. Don't underestimate, he slams cupboards shut and all I hear is the banging, kis kids throw balls against the walls, he has NEVER picked up one pile of dog poo and I take my dog that same way...I counted 22 piles yesterday in a 10x10 radius. What tops it all off is his alarm clock. For a while it was everyday, but not as often now. It will go off from 5AM until 7:30AM against my bedroom wall. I get up at 8. I have asked him nicely about his clock, which is why it stopped for a while. I complained to the fron toffice TWICE about him. I don't know how much more I can take, but I don't want to be the tenant that complains to the front all the time. I wake up at 5AM with the urge to key his car or something awful. I don't know how much more I can take or what else to do. Oh, and he is not technically allowed to have his dogs or his kids (it's an upstairs apt.) WHAT CAN I DO!!

ok somebody posted because they work in a restaurant.. they were complaining about parents who let their kids make a HUGE mess and behave like animals (I wonder if the kids behave that way at home too) and they were asking why do parents take such bratty children out..
Anyhow most of the answers seemed to say this was normal and there was something wrong with her for complaining about this... I was SHOCKED and rather disgusted.. if this is normal and so many people are saying its acceptable for kids to behave like this - I truely fear for the future....
The question was in Parenting.....

If it was mean, i'll issue a full retraction...

If she is dumb, then back me up....

Does make you wonder what her driving is like if she thinks theres 16'' in a foot.... and her house must be built like the wacky warehouse...

Chicks, even decent Chicks go to Mardi Gras and turn into Skanks for cheap beads. They turn around and say they are not Skanks and have morals. If you add religion to the mixture, they are purpously sinning and going against what God wants. If these descent Chicks turn to Skanks for beads, what would they do for money.

Help! Mother in law is making it hard to look forward to the holidays!?
My huband and I were recently married in September of this year. We have been together for 6 years. My mother in law is all of a sudden making a big deal about the holidays. For instance she wanted us to go to her house this year for Thanksgiving and go to my moms next year.My husband told her this wasn't going to work because we want to be with both sides for the holidays. I offered to do Thanksgiving at my house so that we could all be toghether and she wouldn't have to feel that the holidays are a big rush. She refused my offer. So I thought we agreed on splitting the holiday we would go to her house at 11am and have appitizers with her. Her dinner was in the middile of the day and this year was our year to have dinner with my parents because last year we only got to spend a few hours at my moms. The night before Thanksgiving my MIL called my husband to discuss Thanksgiving and he must have told her agian about how our day was planned we would show up at 11 have appitizers and spend

time with them and then leave at 4 to make diner at my mothers house. She was doing dinner at 5. My mother in law blew up. Don't even bother coming I can't believe your not eating here you do everything with her family. Blaah Blahh Blahh. She said not even to bother to come come next year to her house only so she can get her full Thanksgiving. Which I refuse to do and she doesn't respect that. She then said that we always run out on her to get to my moms which is untrue we were spending most of the day with her. The next year we would eat our main meal with her. She was so upset she hung up on him and he was so upset at her that we didn't go. They didn't talk for a week and when they did he opologized for not being there and she was still feeling the same way and said that . everything was about me and my mother. That is also untrue we tried working it out with her. 1. I offered to do thanksgiving so that nobody was torn away. 2. I my mom doesn't care about the time you do dinner but

if you could do your thanksgiving at lunch time or dinner time everything would work out alot better. She likes to have hers smack dab in the middle of the day. I don't know what to do about her she is starting to cause problems between me and my husband and he doesn't want me to say anything to her. She can't respect us as a married couple she wants everything her way. I am starting to really dislike her. What do I do. She also says that discussing the holidays is between her and my husband. That really pissed me off and I would really like to confront her on that. I feel like the main issue is is that she feels she has lost all control I think she is really jelous of my mother and what she has done for me and my husband. I know this seems really long and not put together well but its really upseting me and I have gotten good responses on here other times
