How do you deal with someone who's annoying?

I have to deal with a somewhat annoying employee often, I will frequently get calls at home, emails, calls at work, really if I didn't do a little screening and make myself somewhat unavailable I would never get anything done.

I try to ignore them. If that doesn't work, I let them know they are annoying me, and why.

use it as a chance to develop your patience.
try to listen carefully without feeling irritated.
usually an irritating person is seeking your attention.
give them your undivided attention. when they've had
enough of it, they will go away.
make eye contact. focus yourself fully on what they're saying.
show that you understand.

remember - annoyed is your feeling...
it is inside of you...they don't really cause it
if their behavior makes you feel that way....

also consider walking away.

well, i find myself annoyed too often with people. i have this problem, i guess. i deal with it by talking and laughing about it with my equally as easily annoyed best friend.

tune them out and just ignore them ...then thank the lord you aren't that annoying....just laugh under your breath and walk off....never join them...thats stuping to their level...why would you want to look that foolish?...right

Ignore 'em. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Annoy them!
