My grandparents were French & Greek, I guess I look a little Mediterrean? (straight hair, normal nose, no stereotypes).
anyway this Jewish guy in my class at college talked to me in the library & first thing he said was "how was your Rosh Hashana (sorry spelling)"? I don't know this guy AT ALL, so why does he think I'm Jewish?

My last name may be ambiguous, it's certainly not obviously Jewish.

Isn't that a little rude. I don't like to be judged on my looks, how does he know I'm not an atheist or a Buddhist or whatever?

He is 5 and just started Kindergarten. He gets in trouble everyday for not listening or touching people to try to annoy them. I don't know if this is normal but I tired of getting bad notes sent home from his teacher. I've tried talking to him and rewarding him for good behavior. Can anyone give some helpful advice?

I see so many people who answer other people's questions rudely. Is this really necessary? So what if someone makes a typo or is not knowledgeable in an area. Why say anything at all?

Is this only a male phenomenon? My husband is determined to verbally reprimand & remind every driver in his viewing space that they've forgotten to put on their turning signal, or some other "Yes, it's important, but not vital to the world spinning on it's axis" issue. Of course the other drivers never get the benefit of my precious husbands tirade, only I do! It doesn't improve anyones driving skills and it can (if I'm not well prepared with extra patience) ruin a really nice afternoon together. Is my husband the only person to do this? He is typically a very calm, non talkative person. But other people's driving mistakes send him over the edge. I'd hate to have him driving behind me, and always pray that who ever might be behind me, be more understanding and accept my smile and waved apologies when they are necessary. What is up with this? Can it be trained out of them?

So do I go to homecoming with the girl who I've been best friends with for awhile (but recently we've kinda been drifting apart) or go hang out with a new friend that I really like? My 'best friend' wants to party and drink and smoke and I don't want to do that, but i know that if i go with her i probably will. But on the other hand she's always so depressed now-a-days that shes relying on homecoming to bring her out of this funk. My new friend though, we were just goign to get dressed up and go out on the town and it would be soo fun! Rah! Advice?

They always have a tip jar but the waitress gives you your bill. Should you tip both or do they split it if you tip the waitress. The only thing the waitress does is give you tea and soup so I dont think it is fair if she gets the whole tip.

I work near an obese man and I can hear him breathing all day long. Raspy breaths in, out, in, out. He doesn't have asthma or anything. It's just because he's fat. I already have my radio up as loud as is acceptable. Do I have the right to say something? I know he has to breathe, but it's so annoying I could scream.

Their nocturnal activities are keeping me awake. They engage in sex every night (completely normal I know) but it's very , very loud! How do I explain to them that it's becoming a bit of a nuisance?
If it was loud music I could handle that but telling a couple that their sexual antics are annoyingly loud with decibels is awkward!
