For the most part you don't. Just let them know the times that it isn't appropriate, like at the dinner table, another person's house, etc. Lay some ground rules and follow up on them.

Yes, I agree with the others. They are just teenagers and to them it is hilarious. When you stop and think about it, it is. Just ignore them or better, smile quietly and look at them as if they are morons. They will really break up then. After a while, this will be boring and heaven knows what's next. They are communicating, expressing themselves and having fun. This is fine because it paves the way to be able to express things that may not be so funny.
Enjoy their silly spurts although it is annoying. They look to you for a reaction. I'd stay cool unless it reaches a point of being vulgar and then you stop smiling, tell them they are becoming vulgar (you entitled to your opinion), and ask them to leave the room or you go about your own business.

It's just their way of dealing with little embarassments in life, like passing gas. And to teenagers farts are funny (well, for some adults too). Let them talk...and I agree with setting boundaries as to when they can talk about them. They're just being kids.

I know annoying isn't it, they go through that toilet humour stage when they are little and you think great when its over, then they hit the teenage years and suddenly you've got to put up with it all over again!

Start talking about your gas and they will stop. Better yet, show them how to light a fart.

Forget about it!

They are just stretching their "wings" and having fun while doing it!

Do you remember when you were a teenager?

Have fun but be safe!

Just don't respond to it; teenagers talk about gross things to get a rise out of others. If you don't respond, it loses its "cool" factor.
