Nicely, of course. I don't want to be mean simply because they're being mean.

I was having an afternoon nap with my baby, we were alone in the apartment. The door was locked using the deadbolt. Suddently I heard some sound, came into the living room and saw the living room door open and one guy doing the maintenance work on our living room window. (We had requested for a maintenance few weeks back). I asked him how he got in, he said he knocked a few times and then opened with the spare keys he had.

I feel really uncomfortable after this. What do you feel? I feel like going to the apartment management and speaking to them regarding this.

Some people on here seem to get a huge kick out of answering people's questions with something rude, irrelevant or just plain crass. Why don't they quit it already? It's not funny or entertaining. If you want to be funny, post in the jokes section. I am so sick of seeing some poor young girl asking a serious women's health question only to be answered by a bunch of buffoons who think they're hilarious. And why did I need to get an obnoxious and rather repulsive response to my wine and cheese question? maybe I'm just feeling intolerant today. Is it just me?

I can not afford to give a donation to each person, but if I just walk by without making eye contact I feel like I am ignoring this person and not treating him with the appropriate dignity he deserves. Is there something I can say to him, if I do not have money to give to him?

I know this might be my dumbest question EVA! but, isn't it more polite to stay and watch the names of those who made it all possible? At least stay for... what?... 2-3 minutes?

Acknowledgement?

Total of four in the grooms party ... now three minus the original best man ... how do I replace him without offending the other guys who I believe are great friends. The original best man was chosen based on time known. Why he backed out is understandable and we're still cool ... but I need a best man. How do I choose between three great friends?

I am so tired of other employees interrupting my cashier or customer service rep and they stop working on my order to talk about what someone needs to do next or who can go on break. Shouldn't they finish my order first? Any retail employees out there care to comment? I have to add, I am always courteous, don't act anxious, there is no reason for them to be trying to get back at me, which is not something they should do anyway. I am just waiting patiently while they carry on a conversation.

I am 25 years old (female) and am still living with my parents. The thing is, I'm working on getting my Master's degree (part time MBA) , and I am also in a full time job. So, I'm not a slacker or anything. Unfortunately, I'm feeling ashamed of living at home. It all started a few weeks ago when my work colleague put me down about my situation and said how ‘sad’ it was.
told me that if I'm still living with my parents, then I'm not being a responsible adult. This.man is married and 60 years old,

I went to university for 4 years so I have left home and lived away before.

But, I'm working on my Master's degree at 25, and have a job, so I don't feel I'm being irresponsible. I got this job right away when I moved back home and it’s a good job. My parents are also more than happy with our arrangement. Also, many of the people in the Master's program are older, and already out on their own. So, I feel really immature compared to these people, and I'm afraid I'm going to be looked down on by some of them. I came on here hoping that someone could give me advice about what I'm going through.

Am I a bad person for being 25 and still living at home?

The phrase "Respect is earned, not given" does not give the person saying it cover for denying others fair treatment. It is selfish and wholly inappropriate to treat a person like dirt and than defend that by saying that the abusees have to earn their abusers respect. People are entitled, unless they have earned disrespect, to decent treatment, what might be on some level, respect. I hope I have cleared this up for some people.
