My beloved won us an awesome new TV last week. It is ginormous. We already had a TV. It's still good, just not as good as the new one. We don't believe in keeping a TV in the bedroom (it keeps us from sleeping), and we don't have room elsewhere.

So I'm thinking, we know a single mother who works her guts out for her two kids. Her TV's very old and is thisclose to its last days. We'd like to give her the old TV. But she's got a lot of pride, and we don't want it to come off like we're insulting her.

How do we present the idea to her--or should we just give it to a charity?

I can't go in or out the house without her watching me. It's really beginning to bug me. It's not that I live a particulary exciting life either.

She's been married for nearly a year now (to the ugliest dude that I didn't know from before) and has a little baby girl, whom I adore and I go there once a month or so to enjoy her conversation and friendship.

The other day I was visiting and I went to drop off a gift and see her for a while and her husband was downloading things from the computer, and I asked him if he wont mind downloading some program I need but costs a lot of money...

Then, I sat next to him (about a foot away) on another chair while my friend was changing the baby and I was chatting to her hubby about the program - so after about 20 minutes I went back to the lounge (to her)

I left about ten minutes later... It was quite late!

The next day she sends me a snotty text saying that next time I should just tell her if I want to come and visit her, or her husband??

I didn't reply but I don't know what to say? Should I confront her?

About a month ago, I made a choice. My choice was to be with the person I am with. If I was at lunch with someone, my cell was in my purse on vibrate. If I went to a movie, my cell phone in my purse on vibrate. In short - the person in front of me became more important.
I have found my relationships with friends and family have gotten so much better!
I challange you to do that for a week. There is very little that can't wait an hour for you to get back to them, and you have voice mail.

*For emergencies, my family have been instructed to call once, go all the way to voice mail, then call again. This lets me know to pick up the phone and see who it is. If it isnt them - I put the phone away.

Let me know how it works - I'll try to keep this open for at as long as yahoo will let me - hopefully at least 7 days!

Why do "women" have this great fear of "farting" around men? Also my best friend got married because he said he got tired of holding his gas... Women in general are appalled by men and women "letting one ripppp" I don't understand this cause its a natural body function.. Why do we say excuse me when we burp then laugh whan we fart this is very confusing.....

who are obsessed by the material world (Cue Madonna). The closest people to me do not understand or appreciate the important things in life, their only interest is designer labels, money blah blah, They complain about what they don't have believing that this world really owes them something. They p*ss me off because they see friends and family as someone to mark their lives against, living each day competing and trying to outdo each other at every given moment.

I really have no faith in people anymore. Is it just me? Am I a freak

A few months ago at work somebody vomited all over me and didn't offer a single word of apology. The situation is a serious social faux pas.

A relative of mine is depressed and has major mental issues. She has been seeing a therapist for ten years. She never gets out of bed and only goes outside to see her therapist once a month. She weighs almost 300 lbs. and is 5'5". She weighed 150 only five years ago. I told her during a conversation that she should really lose weight, or else her health will keep getting worse and she will die. She went off on me, saying her cholesterol is low and she looks great and now hasn't talked to me in weeks. My father tried telling her the same and she got mad then too. Finally, when her doctor told her to lose the weight or she would DIE, she quit going to him, called him a quack and now does not see doctors.

I don't want her to die. Help!

She also says they don't stick to her, no TSS issues and are more free than tight panties. I'd like to hear from women who do NOT use tampons about this. (Tampon using women tend to be militant and angry about pads - so kindly sit this one out - thank you!).
She also said they had different colors and the new ones are lacy.

For about 8 years now, I have wanted to put an American flag (pole and all) in my front yard. I haven't yet because the responsibility of it I do not know. I think it should be lowered every evening and put away and not left out in the rain. Can it be flown at half, if a death is your family or friend, or is that for only national figures? If you do leave it up at night, it needs to be spotlighted....right....?

I just want to make sure if I do take the step of displaying the flag, that I do it right. If you know all of the rules or a link I would appreciate it.

Thanks.
