A good friend of mine (I'm a guy, she's a girl, but we're just friends, definitely not dating) is coming up to Toronto (she's from Detroit) with her parents to see a few shows, musicals, plays,... (We're both college students). They're not here to see me specifically, but I said since they're here, I might show them around. Obviously, around dinner time, we will all go out, and I know 99% sure her parents will join us as well. Should I pay? Is that the right thing to do? I don't think I should pay for her parents' portion as well, but it's only courtesy, is it not?

I cannot stand when someone talks on the phone while waiting to be helped, and continues to talk while being assisted. I work in the cellular industry and it's a common occurrence. If I go to the next customer, they look irritated. I'm not going to compete with your conversation. Either hang up long enough to be helped or come back when you get off the phone!!! Does anyone else find this TOTALLY rude?!? It can be anywhere that someone is helping you...ordering food in line, buying something. I hang up if I am the customer because I find that rude, and I use 5000 plus minutes per month so I am a cell phone user too. What's everyone's thoughts??

He's a very nice guy, but every week he sends out religious poems and powerpoint presentations with music containing loving Christian reflections for the day.

I am Christian but I don't need him to send me these all the time. What should tell him?

Is it rude to end a casual one on one conversation with the GM of the company with a "ok, take it easy" as he is walking out and has just said "see ya later"? I got a co-worker that thinks I was rude and that you dont talk to SOME people that way.
I dont think the GM thought anything about it. I dont see that as being disrespectful. Anyway just wanted some opinions.
thanks

OK, this might be a tough one. A touch on the shoulder or the arm is definitely OK, a touch on the breast is definitely not OK in normal, social conversation. What do you consider the most "sexy" place a man could touch you and come across as warm, friendly and even desiring you, but not come across as overtly sexual or offensive?

If someone you'd only very recently met seemed to take a strong liking to you and evidently kind of admired you, would you:

A) Feel flattered and be okay with it
or
B) Feel a little creeped out and respect them less for acting that way with someone they didn't really know?

Why is it that people don't smile as much as they used to? We should start smiling more at one another instead of frowning for no apparent reason. Personally, I hate it when people frown at me for no apparent reason. I give them a smiling gesture reminding people to smile. You're not better than anyone else, remember that. It's free. Who knows it may lead to something good on our behaves. It's like people are too busy in their minds to make a simple positive gesture to the rest of the people. Let's make it a epidemic, people!!

I do. Most people on this forum are very polite and decent. It is very refreshing. Do you enjoy Yahoo! answers a whole lot?

OK, I am invited to a co-workers college graduation. He actually graduated about a month ago, but they are just now doing the ceremony. I already sent him a card last month after he got his diploma. Do I buy another gift or card now too?

together? I know that he has never dated a smoker before, but I have noticed that he seems to get hard quicker when I light up. Should I go ahead and continue smoking in front of him since it seems to get him horny?

I was planning on throwing a baby shower for a friend a few weeks from now at a local restaurant. I found out a few days ago that she knows about it and contacted me to make changes to our plans regarding the location and how it was organized. I have no problem with this, but the way I see it, showers are gifts to be accepted. If you want to throw one yourself, that's all well and good. I'm ready to say I'll attend, be happy, buy a gift and help out where needed but I don't want to plan any more. Is that terrible?
