have you ever acidentaly farted in public or infront of someone you didnt know very well ?

i was in the 1st grade and i was seeing how long i could hold my breath and as i hit the 40 sec mark i let out 2 loud bellowing twin farts , everyone laughed and i was doomed for nerdem the whole school year

I was sitting indian style with my boyfriends head on my legs and I accidentally let one rip. He moved his head quickly and then we broke up. I didn't fart in front of my husband for like a year, but now we've been married for 17 years and I fart at him all the time !!!

First rule is to blame it on the dog, or chair if possible.

Second, if no inanimate object is available--look disgustingly at the closest person near you. (Make sure you can beat them up)

Thirdly, make simulated fart noises with your mouth--try to imitate the sound, and tilt your head like you're just being silly.

Fourth rule, go along with it. Inform the crowd to beware that number two is on it's way. (this doesn't work in a church setting)

Lastly, play 'possum. Faint, and then wake up and say "What happened?" You will get sympathy, and people will forget about the fart.

Seriously, do try to take a few steps back if you know you're going to fart. However, don't obsess about it. We all do it.

Yeeeap.. who hasn't ?? :) speaking of farting.. heard a random humorous humorous tale in the present day.. ok, so which you're sitting in a pub and you comprehend which you surely need to fart. you won't be able to be bothered to flow exterior so which you come to a style to allow it out interior. The song is incredibly loud with a heavy beat so which you have a brainwave.. fart in time to the beat !! 2 songs later you experience lots greater useful.. untill you seem around the pub and see everybody watching you in a disgusted way. it incredibly is once you comprehend you have been listening to your iPod. Well, to be correct in terms of etiquette, no one should have done anything. One is assumed to not be in control of flatulence. Anyone saying or doing anything (including the "culprit") calls attention to it and is rude.

This is different from a burp, which one is assumed to be in control of, and requires an "excuse me."

If you are in this situation again, hope that everyone knows the proper etiquette and pretends that nothing happened. If you do get a comment, you can say "How interesting that you felt it necessary to comment." Calling the person rude directly would be rude, of course.

Once in the 6th grade. We were in the middle of a class discussion and I just out of nowhere let off this massive fart and everyone just burst out laughing. The teacher just looked at me and I said "Sorry, but I couldn't hold it." Everyone just laughed harder and my friend kept bringing it up every chance he got for the rest of the year.

farts happen & as mortifying as it is, all you can do is laugh at yourself and move on. Thankfully the one embarrassing farty moment I did have did not produce a smelly fart...that would have just added insult to injury :o)
