Whats a good present for a Foreign friend since airports are strict

Forget about the airport. You or your friend can always check the present in the luggage.
Think about the present in terms:
What does he or she like?
Is it a nice memento of what you two did together when visiting?
Is it a nice enticement so she or he will come to visit you?

Cash - or something in gold or silver. I like to give out silver eagles to friends when I see them. They cost between 10 - 15 each depending upon the price of silver.
