As for my part of the U.S. (Midwest) I don't think so but I suppose it depends on how a person is eating. If their inhaling a Subway sandwich or shoveling in potato chips by the handful I suppose it would seem a bit uhh.. unsavory.
On the other hand if someone is hungry and in a hurry simply munching on an energy bar and sipping an orange juice seems to be no problem to me.
As a cultural note I'm an American living in Japan and here the idea is that it is rude to eat and walk at the same time. Through my experience this mainly thought to be true by the older generation and the younger people in Japan don't follow this supposed faux pas as strictly. That being said you don't see as many people chowing down in the street as you would in the U.S.

Yes but it depends on where you are like if your at a fair and your eating a corn dog than that is fine. If your walking around with a plate of spaghetti yeah that is rude.

it depends, i don't think it's rude if your at the fair and eating something on a stick.. but it's kinda gross to see someone chow down a whole meal as the walk about with bit s and chunks of food falling to the ground.

People drive and eat. Talk on the phone and eat.
So eating and walking is ok.

Wow- you must be a very talented person.
I personally don't have the coordination. I bit my tongue yesterday while walking while eating a cookie.

Generally it is rude, but there are a few exceptions, such as bananas and ice cream cones.
