ITS FRIDAY!!! ☺

2006-08-18 06:34:36 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

OMG, is it just me who observed this? There are many who agreed with me in the party the other day. They detailed their personal experiences and I found them so hilarious.

I defended them by saying it is not good to generalize any one group (I am not Chinese or Oriental). But, I personally have experienced bad driving from this one class of people who are oriental looking. Am I wrong? What are your experiences? Isn't it common to show courtesy to those who share the road?

Please comment. Thanks for your answers in advance.

And is it rude that if I hold doors and don't get a 'thank you' I SHOUT "you're welcome" at them? Because I've just started doing this.

Why are half of the questions and answers on this site composed of crazy, illegible chicken scratch? I can understand some people just can't spell(even though there is an on-board spell checker), or even grammer errors are fine. Bun some people use slang, abbreviations, laziness, stupidity I don't know what it is. Please help me to understand. Hopefully its just laziness and society isn't really that dim witted. Sorry don't mean to offend anyone. P.S. I do realize that my own writing probably wouldn't get an A+ with an English teacher, but at least you can comprehend my words and I'm energetic enough to scroll up 4 inches to click the check spelling button.

sometimes if you don't have a really pressing important question, you might be a little bored, and so sometimes you might ask a question just for fun. Sometimes just to find something to have a good laugh. Coz brevity, is good for selfhealling.

At least until you've found the inspiration for renewed efforts in posting really good questions.

At least someone gets the extra points for trying - either way.

I want something good to say to someone with an overly inflated ego. Just starting out in corporate America and I've been warned I would encounter some of these bad attitudes and I will literally hear, "Do you know who I am?" from time to time. I would probably never use it (I'm smarter than that), but it would be good to have out in public or something. Looking for something clever, not overtly insulting like, "You're a [curse word]." Any thoughts?

Who thinks that's just rude, considering everywhere else on the site there are ads?

I'm going to be the aunt, but it doesn't seem right that I'm just "assigned" something to do without them asking me. Is it just typical that people are expected to want to help out with this kind of stuff?

I'm catholic and my husband's family is not. Do you think it would be rude to bless myself (make the sign of the cross) while in their company? It freaks some people out and I would hate to piss off my inlaws so soon.

Has anyone else noticed how the older generation complain that "todays youth" have no manners, when in actual fact, it's the other way round?! More often than not, when i stand back to let someone through, the older ones, i'd say 55+, have NO manners whatsoever!! I get soo frustrated with the lack of courtesy that i just have to shout (very sarcastically) WHY THANKYOU!!!! OH,NO PROBLEM!!!!! One time, i was in ASDA and this old women just rammed her damn trolley at me, gave me a mucky look and carried on walking! I was tempted to start crying and shout about "that nasty old women" who just wheeled me down!!! In fairness, you do get some, nice older people who have manners and courtesy, but then you get the ones who cross the road just to avoid, and give very dirty looks at that supposed yob that is me! Just because I'm a teenager doesn't mean I'm going to mug them or something! Does anyone else feel this way?! I'm pretty sure it isn't just me!

Isn't a knee-jerk reaction to say something when people sneeze... God bless you is a common one. What do you usually say and what is commonly said by the people you know? Any comment you wish to add is certainly welcome.

I just went to a bridal shower last week. I bought a gift to the bride as a bridal shower gift, however, everyone else has brought the wedding gift instead. I plan to buy something from her registry for her as a wedding gift, and I'm not sure if I still need to give her some money when I go to the wedding just to cover for the food?

I have been with the same man for sereval years now. He is real nice to me and in love with me. I do feel conforable with him.I do not feel as in Love with him as he is with me. When he mentioned marriage and kids the other day my heart says no. I feel that it is time to break up, but I do care about him and do not want to hurt his feelings. Also, I have never been on my own and am kinda scared about that. Any advise or insight would be appreciated.

i believe the cops should shoot to kill if a person points a firearm at them. The person who has the lame *** opinion of a drunk person or a kid pointing a firearm by mistake should be shot just for bein a dumbass. If you own a firearm, be responsible. We cant afford to lose good cops because some liberal idiot doesnt want his drunk child or drugged up buddy to be shot because he thought it was funny to point a weapon at a police officer. If you clear leather, use it or face the consequenses.
