Actually people rarely honk the moment the light turns green - they normally give you a moment and then tap the horn. You need to realize why they are doing this - you are taking too long starting to go - the light is only going to stay green so long - and they have things to do also. That is really what the horn is for to alert other drivers of different things. You will just be compounding a problem and acting childish. Plus what if that person is going to the hospital to to pick up a sick child from school?

Where I lived in FL that could get you shot- probably not a good idea to make other drivers mad.
Try to be courteous, go when the light changes, and for the most part, you won't get honked at.
If someone does honk, just ignore them. Don't let your anger or bad behavior sink to their level.

Not necessarily wrong, but definitely dangerous, and possibly illegal.
If the driver behind you is anticipating you getting up to road speed and you idle through the intersection, there's a good chance that he might accidentally rear-end you. Plus, if there's a line of cars and one of them is a policeman, you could be cited for impeding traffic (depending on the local traffic regulations).

Nope, the person behind you is simply trying to pull your leg.It is not wrong to drive slowly whereever you are coz you are just being careful that's good but these impatient people don't realize this and are always in a rush. They're probably in a great hurry to go to heaven. So,let them go ahead.

In these times it is best not to anger people you don't know. You might end up with a couple of 357 slugs in the back of your head. Just smile, wave, and go about your business.

Do two wrongs make a right? While it may make you feel better to "get him back" you are being just as rude as he is and possibly putting your life in danger.

As long as you are in the right lane it's okay, but I wouldn't recommend it. Why let somebody with an agression problem influence you? Just ignore him and enjoy your day.

Don't you just love to do that? Feels like, serves 'em right. What's their rush that they have to be so rude?
