We had friends over this weekend, and they have a three year old child. Since they came, we have noticed a horrible smell in a wing of our house, and we could not figure out what it was until this morning. In a little used bathroom of our house, off of a guest room, they apparently threw an unwrapped Pull Up with feces in it into our wicker wastebasket! I thought this was really trashy and rude, and felt as if they should have asked for a bag to tie it up in and thrown it in the outside garbage, or atleast asked me where to put it! It wasn't even folded in on itself, and there is even poop all over the wicker of my wastebasket. I had to throw it away. I would never have suspeted, and didn't even know their child wasn't potty trained. I never did this when my four children were young, and I am just disgusted. Do I mention it to them so it doesn't happen again, and how?

I have an employee that will enter my office and just start talking, no matter what I may be doing, no tap on the door, no "excuse me," no "do you have a minute?" It's as if she assumes I do nothing all day but wait for her to ask me a question!

How do I stop this behavior, politely?

Before I boarded a plane from Frankfurt to Detroit, the security guard asked me if I had any makeup in my purse. I thought he was just teasing and told him that I did. I was stranded with my grandparents who had no source of media that covered these matters so I was clueless as to what was going on. I handed him my deodorant, foundation, and mascara. then when he asked me to hand him my lipgloss, I got pissed and hurled it and told him to take it and shove it. He looked at me like "what a drunken *****". I was informed that if I had been sober I would have even been arrested for my outburst. Has anyone been through something like this and if so how did you handle it. I would also like to know how insults like this are handled among native born germans

I am cofused when it comes to formal letter/email writing as to how to end it. When does one use 'yours sincerely', 'regards' and 'many thanks'? Are there any others that I have left out? If so, when do you use those?

I'm in a quandry. My bird has been playing up recently and I don't know what to do.
She keeps wanting to go out on her own to see her mates but won't tell me who they are. She isn't talking to me either. She's always been a good reliable bird, and I always thought I had satisfied her every need, but now I don't know if she just needs time with other birds. What if they're blokes though?
What should I do?
Let her go out and trust her?
Or should I try and follow my bird discretely and make sure shes not up to any malarky?
Please help me decide.

I have noticed at work that there will be urine on every toilet seat in every stall because for some unknown reason, men are choosing not to use the urinals. If you are a non-urinal user, could you please explain what your problem is?

No smoking law in pubs and enclosed areas that is now in force in Scotland and is soon to be implemented in England? Do you think that the government will soon make it illegal to smoke in your car and in your own home?

It seems there is no escape from the gutter element now. "Get your sh**" and "pi**ed off" are passed off as acceptable English. Every sentence is peppered with the f word, with urine and feces, constant references to penises. A coward is a "pu**y." A traitor is a "di*k." Do you think this is because people are cattle and don't know how to demand something better for themselves? Or is it intellectual laziness, and incompetence at using the language? Or an idiotic contest to prove oneself to be the baddest?

Have you ever farted in an elavator? It must be so embarassin. I had to once but I held it in (I do that a lot, is that healty? Can't be I suppose) Well Anyways I was in an elevator at this hotel once in New York and it was like a 28 stories and I was on the 14th floor and there was like 8 other people in the elevator. Some one farter and I couldn't help it . . . I laughed. But I was more embarassed myself because no one else laughed. Even worst I had to wait untill the 14th to escape the embaressment because every one else had pressed buttons for the higher floors.

Has this or something like it ever happend to you? Have YOU ever farted in an elevator or heard some one else FART in an elevator?

I need to know if I can eat directly off my plate with my mouth with out offending anyone.
I prefer to eat that way -
I like to be really close to my food so I can smell it and also to make sure that no bad person has snuck any bugs (like cockcaroaches) into it -
I mean I know that protien is an important thing to have in ones diet
BUT
I draw the line at eating BUGS -
I mean I am not Renfield (Dracula's servant) for godness sake !!!

And everyone declines as he's a huge showoff and mean to a lot of people at work...so he then invites the people with kids..saying for a 'fun' day for the family (men play poker, women and kids do the barbequing and basically nothing else planned for them) and then tells everyone to bring raw chicken to barbeque and yet he knows he likely won't have more than 20-50 people IF that many!! showing up but most people don't even want to go as he keeps bragging at work about his new 450,000 dollar house and how he wants everyone to come and see it etc and how much money his wife and him have as total income etc so I think he should pay for the chicken -I think it's rude to ask your invited guests to bring food to your house-I believe guests should bring a bottle of wine or cake at their choosing -not be TOLD to basically bring their own entree AND cook it too LOL -what do you think of this? Please be honest.

So I will be going to his sister's wedding as his date, but I feel like I should buy them a present, but then again I wasn't invited, my boyfriend, the bride's brother invited me...So what's the right thing to do?
