I'm in a quandry. My bird has been playing up recently and I don't know what to do.
She keeps wanting to go out on her own to see her mates but won't tell me who they are. She isn't talking to me either. She's always been a good reliable bird, and I always thought I had satisfied her every need, but now I don't know if she just needs time with other birds. What if they're blokes though?
What should I do?
Let her go out and trust her?
Or should I try and follow my bird discretely and make sure shes not up to any malarky?
Please help me decide.

Oh, there seems to have been a slight misunderstanding...
I'm talking about Geraldine my serinus canaria (canary bird).
What did you think I was talking about?

Hello David,

I was in no doubt that you in fact were talking about a real bird and not a ladeeee.

I think you should take up some other interest. Being so fond of your canary could in fact lead to problems. Its clear to me that you have an obsessive and possessive nature clubbed together with obvious delusions inclusive of the ability's of the said Canary.

My recommendation is that you have a swift fly off down to the dog and duck and sink half a woodpecker cider.

Oh dear, you poor thing ! You're certainly a troubled soul and having these doubts about your " bird" is not a foundation for a good relationship . I know that if if my other half made me feel like that..well..I wouldn't want to be with him, that's for sure !
It could all of course be entirely innocent, she may well just be spending time with her female friends and not other men, but there is only one way to put an end to this , just ask her ! Tell her how she makes you feel , tell her about your insecurities and you might be pleasantly surprised by her answers .
It sounds as though you really care about this girl, so be honest with her, it really is the best thing to do. Don't follow her, that wouldn't be good if she's " innocent" she really wouldn't appreciate it .
Just talk to her !!
Honesty really is the best policy, don't play games with each other .

To start with, i agree with the guys above, calling women 'birds' finished in the 70's didn't it?

Secondly, I would walk away because there is obviously no trust from either of you. This is not the right woman for you, when relatonships get to this point there is no going back.

3rd, Ha Ha, there NEVER has been a woman who has all her needs satisfield!

Your bird obviously feels caged in and caged birds stop talking; lose part of their plumage and beauty and become withdrawn and lose the will to talk. Perhaps you could give your bird a name like friend, lover, wife, whatever but bring some variety and respect and you will soon have her singing again and eating out of the palm of your hand. But if your bird has any sense she will, get someone to let her out of her cage and fly away to pastures new.

If you follow her and find out the worst possible senario, what will you do? If you don't trust her, then move on. Don't chase her, when some women have you, I mean really have you, they don't care about you anymore. Let her move on, or let her chase you, but remember, there are women out there who would love you, and there are women who would understand your question means you are not ordinary. Check out my 360 and if you like anything you see i will give free. Tony in remote Isan.

first stop calling her bird, all girls need time to be with their friends, and so what if there are other guys there, the fact that you don't trust her is the porblem here nothing else, just ask can you come along sometime, then you can see for yourself what they get up to!

She has probably gone on the lookout for someone less disrespectful, i thought initially you were referring to a pet parrot. Maybe as you refer to her as bird ,she's going out to find a 'cok-a-too'!

Kill her. That's the most reasonable thing to do. I even think I have a wonderful recipe for canary pie here somewhere. If you promise to be nice to me, I'll cook it for you.
