Ok, I will be meeting a friend of mine for the first time and he is a Pysychic/Medium. I've only talked with him over the phone,but we've been talking for about three years now. We are very excited about meeting him and look forward to the much needed vacation. My question is we would like to take him a gift. I work in a store that sells Bath &Body products and I thought I would ask if anyone might know of scents that a Cheroke Indian would like? Or if you have any other gift suggestions,please let me know.

That just isn't fair, for example when some, SOME NOT ALL, are speeding they don't get ticketed. The cop will 'let it go' because they are famous. Do you think thats fair, i don't it makes me mad. Also why do celebrities think they are better then regular people when we are they're main money source? It just make me mad because if noone bouht their CD's or wen to their movies they would be no where. I'm not balming celebrities but is that really fair to treat other people differently because of their status.

I was going to take a apartment in a high crimed area. After I saw what the area was like for a week I decided I didnt want the place.THe landlord asked for the key. But didnt have the deposit money. I told her to notorize a letter stating that she will return my deposit. She did. But neglected to put the dat although she verbally said today. Whats my chances of getting my deposit back. I never moved into the apartment.

I have a new friend that has this habit, I've caught her in a few of her lies, but was embarrased to tell her anything, she lied about her background and her education, but I realized she lies to some people only, but with me she is very candid and honest.Should I trust someone like that or avoid her?

I was brought up to be very honest and if that if you did not like someone then do not be false/make an effort with them.

I am finding that this is not really working as an adult as it comes across as being aggressive/childish.

Anyone any tips with handing people who really get under your skin?

Sorry if this is long: I am from the North, North East in a little town. I recently started college/ orientation at a pretty big famous school in NYC.

I am of Irish decent, & I have dark hair.

Ever since I've been in NY, I keep having people come up to me and it seems like the 2nd question on everyone's tongue is "are you jewish?"

No one has ever asked me that before, so I'm a little taken aback.
Is this normal in NY?

There seem to be a lot of Jewish girls in my dorm. They are very nice & I like them.
But whenever I am introduced to them, they ask my name, my major, and within 5, no 2 minutes, the question is "are you Jewish?"

Why do they ask so much?

Also I get the feeling they are always trying to find out in the first 5 minutes if you are or not, and sometimes they throw in things like "oh, Temple XXX is really good" and quickly look at you to see your reaction, or am I imagining thing?

Is it okay to include a list of gift ideas for my child's birthday in with the invitation? He'll be five, and we always find people call for ideas, or get a cheesy gift. Not to be ungrateful, but I don't want to see people waste their money...

I have Cancer and the owner of a resturaunt named Little Italy went above and beyond helping me, she owns a pizzaria and she made all the food for people to eat and all the profits she gave to me except for cost of food. I want to get her something to show my appriciaton but I don't to be like " thanks for helping me raise money, I just bought you a exspensive gift"I don't want her to think I am irresposible with the money she helped me raise but I don't know what to give her, any ideas?
