I managed a record five snooze button presses this morning (nine minutes per standard snooze) and while those pocket sleep bursts felt great at the time I ended up five minutes late for work. That got me thinking is the snooze button with its sleepy delights really an enemy in disguise??

A friend i met online is going to e-mail me cigarettes because I cna't buy them myself due to America's ageist laws.
How do I make sure I get to the mail before my mom?
And please don't put stuff like "you are too young to smoke, smoking is bad for you, etc."

Thanks!

Basicly I just didn't go back after summer vacation for my senior year. Since then I have gotten my GED and I'm currently going to college. So what I want to know is can I go to my 1996 class reunion. Its in October, i did receive an invitation. There are only a few people I'd like to see but i don't want people thinking "what is she doing here, she didnt even graduate'

Our landlord just walks in when we're not home and without knowing it to show people our apartment to rent out! We haven't even told her that we're moving! She just comes right in. Anyway, is this like totally wrong?? We haven't signed any contract or agreement with her, just pay rent month-to-month. Also, our neighbors stab each other, beat each other, deal drugs, etc. What should we do about that? Anything?

My neighbor is German and I can barely understand him when he talks to me.Then when he has a few beers--- forget it.
So I smile and say ya alot and nod my head. I got to thinking that I may be saying yes to things that I dont mean too.
Hes lived here for along time, so he speaks fluent English.( but with a HEAVY accent)

Should I continue to smile and act like I understand him, or ask him to repeat things or what.
I DONT want to be rude. Helpful Suggestions please.

The company i work for is having a "presentation"...it's a boring, nothing to do with me, social event, and i don't want to go. When they asked me if i would i said no, when asked why i jokingly said that my boyfriend doesn't let me. Then my boss asked me to make room for it in my agenda, and to tell my boyfriend it's a work thing, that it's not that "i have to" but he made it seem as if i had no choice. I said i would see what i can do...but i don't want to go, i have my reasons... and on my free time i like to do my own things. How can i explain this without seeming rude, or lying ? (cause they'll know i'm lying anyway, i always get out of doing anything "extra work" with them), and i feel pressure to go to all the social things they do. Is there any way to make them understand i don't like to do that kind of stuff, and that i won't do it! without them hating me or firing me?

It seems that lately I've been noticing that people have forgotten the little things; saying thank-you to someone holding a door for them, being considerate in public by keeping their children quiet and under control; things of that nature. I try my hardest to be kind and considerate, and to teach my children to do the same, but it's hard to justify when there are so many rude people out there who only seem to think about themselves. Am I wrong?
