What are your interests? Join a few clubs in your new community that interest you.

Some ideas: Be in play, join a chorus, take up karate, join a hiking club, join a sewing circle, help a charity (a soup kitchen or food bank, cancer, red cross, the rotary club), join a gardening club, volunteer at the hospital, the police station or the library, join a language group.

Join a gym

Attend church. Help out once in a while.

Check out craigslist.org and pick your city. There is a section there for strictly platonic friends.

You have to make your own fun. You can do it.

It would be an idea to try and meet some new nuturing people that help you build your confidence in people and your surroundings.. Join a fitness group, small church or voluntary group, there are lots of people around that are in the same position as you, you may be able to help someone else, reward yourself once in a while especially your spirit... Also books of inspiration are awesome check out Joyce Meyer on TV enjoying everyday life.... Good luck girlie.. Maybe your husband can assist you with some salsa classes, or something together.

It really depends on how far away you live. Obviously if you live in europe and they are in america then its different but if you live like a couple hours away then try and arrange a weekend trip or something with your friends where you drive to their house and sleep there for the night or vice versa. Also if you live to far away to do that then keep in contact with your friends through e-mail, phone, letters, however you can. One more thing, don't be afraid to get out there and meet some new friends.

If you have an understanding and good husband you should feel lucky. He is your best friend and you do not need many friends to be happy. If you are so needy of friends you should not have married and stick to your friends wherever they are. People get married because they need the companionship of a partner and because friends can't be there for them as much as a spouse. If your spouse can't fulfil you, you really should not have gotten married.

Join an art class, or anything that interests you. You will make friends. To make friends, you must be friendly and approachable. Your husband would be much happier if you were happy. Right now, you can't be that much fun to be around. Think of your marriage, happiness is sometimes a state of mind, and you have cornered yourself to computer friends. They can't really ever get to know you.

Become strong and faithful of character. Above all, believe and have the maximum faith in God Almighty. Things will work out for your good, if you follow the steps above. All uncertainties, will fall apart.

Its ok to miss friends. Just get over it and find new ones. Go out and find them, not on the damn computer.
