I grew up in a family of four that had one bathroom. Naturally, sharing was a way of life. Now I'm in a family of 3 with 2 bathrooms, but there are no "designated" bathrooms for parents or children. We each use the one we happen to be closest to at the time we need it!

No. My sons have their own bathroom. They're both young (2 1/2 years and 13 months) and there's too much stuff in my bathroom that could hurt them or make them sick. Even when they get older and don't constantly get into everything, they're still going to have their own bathroom.

I didn't have a problem with it until I noticed that my 2 boys pee all over the side and carpet in my bathroom since they can't seem to aim & are in a rush.
Now I strongly request them to use the hall bathroom as there is no carpet to ruin.

Our kids have 3 bathrooms to use among themselves, but since we have such a big tub (and the boys just have a shower in their bathroom) they all use our tub every so often.

We let our children use our bathroom. We have three children and three bathrooms so when it is bath night they all three pick a bathroom and take their baths.

In the real world families share their bathrooms...some even have just one!!!
