They know the person running the show will not make them go to the back, and the other people will mostly act like sheep. You need to go to the head of the line and point out the person that cut in, and ask whoever is there what they are going to do about it? They will then have to answer in a way that satisfies all who hear the exchange.

It's training: because we teach our kids that first is best, and also by not reinforcing manners, we allow them the behavior. I'd love to see you with a sign out your window on the highway, where lots of people cut in front, even when it isn't safe. Special isn't the word, it's just that no one has called them on the carpet for their behavior- let 'em cause a few accidents on the highway!

I guess my loud mouth makes them realize what they have done. I ALWAYS point out the one that cut and let them know where the back of the line is. I'm nice about the first time something is said but if they give me lip then I get alittle more loud and usually others chime in. But I agree...it makes me damn mad!

Different cultures with different backgrounds. Polish?Romanian/Russian people are so used to shortages that they will rush to something rather than wait in line like the Brits, or the Germans

We live in the "Now" generation. No one wants to wait or take the time to understand each others needs. It's mine and I want it now!!!
The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few. It doesn't work that way anymore.

I do not get it either... this is probably one of my biggest pet peevs. I hate it when people do this. They should have to wait like everyone else. When in traffic and people try to do this I never let them over. Ha ha.

I hardly ever see anyone do this. People know it's rude and don't want to hear crap from everyone else in line if they do.
