A friend (who we're not that close to) mentioned her daughter's christening in conversation, then perhaps realising she hadn't invited us, hastily did so (suggesting the original invite got lost). We already said we're free on that day (so can't really say we've got plans), but don't really fancy going (as we don't know any of the other 120 guests).

It really bugs me that people want to try on 100 pieces of clothing but aren't considerate enough to hang them back up, or at least bring them out to the fitting room attendant.

After you use the restroom you wash your hands.

You turn on the water (with your dirty hands). You wash them clean again then have to touch the dirty faucet to turn it off.

chick told me the bigger sizes are over here (i was looking at jeans) Now I am by no means a big girl. I am fairly tall and weigh about 130 pds, I usually wear anything between a size 6-8. DId I have the right to be insulted.

Well my brother came home last night with a f@g. My BROTHER-I had NO idea that he was...you know...one of THOSE people..So...I was a little upset...to say the least. I knocked the f@g down and just repeatedly stomped on it. I couldn't stop! I just hate f@gs so much! I want to kill all f@gs!! F@gs are just so filthy and disgusting...they mercilessly kill thousands and thousands of people--and this is not to mention their repulsive stench.
My brother of couse just lit up another one-but he was more than a little annoyed with me as f@gs aren't cheap these days. I just don't know what to do... I never thought my brother would be a smoker.
Any advice?

I was out walking late last night (around 10pm) pushing my 1yr old in a stroller through our neighborhood when my neighbor's dog got out of their yard and started barking at me viciously, I started jogging away from their yard and the dog followed me and nipped me in the thigh, I saw it was a lab. I know they normally keep him chained up in the back yard but he got out that time and I feel like sueing them even though the bite did not break the skin. They offered to take me to the doctor the next morning but I said I wanted to go to the emergency room that night and they couldn't because they were babysitting somebody else's kids. They offered to pay for everything and they took a picture of my leg even but I would rather sue them than take their money. I feel they are mad for having to pay it so why should I accept it.....just sue them. They showed me their dog's vaccine record and he is up to date on rabies and other shots. She apologized to me several times but I want to sue.

a few blocks before you get home he starts telling you this story and when the car is finally there he keeps talking and talking. You want to say thanks and good night but he keeps on with his story for a few minutes.

... if you ask for example: "Do you like this music?" and you get as an answer: "Yes" instead of "Yes, I do", or "No", instead of "No, I don't"? I mean, do you think it is necessary to say "Yes, I do"? Is it rude to say just "Yes". How does the difference FEEL to a native speaker (which obviously, I am not).
