Ask them about themselves, their work, hobbies (what they like to do in their spare time) their family, where they live, or where they have lived. You can talk about current events, have they read any good books, seen any good movies lately.
Be yourself and be truly interested in the other person and you will be fine.

Questions To Ask A Stranger

You just have to make conversation and avoid awkward pauses. Start with "Hello, how may I help you?" Ask them their name and things like that. If some stranger is at your home, chances are they're trying to sell something, which means that THEY plan on doing most of the talking anyways. Don't worry about coping with the city life, you'll be used to it in no time.

ask what kind of stuff does he/she do for fun? Find things that you do or have and ask them about it, like "Do you have any Pets?" Just be yourself man, you can pretty much get a conversation going with just about anything. **** ask him if he likes his coffee black or with cream!!

first you en quire about him his name. purpose of his visit etc and if you satisfy with his answers, ask him to take a seat. it all depend on the gender you belong to. if you are a female you are to begin conversation with the stranger with utmost caution. it always not better to reveal your name and particulars about your self
