chick told me the bigger sizes are over here (i was looking at jeans) Now I am by no means a big girl. I am fairly tall and weigh about 130 pds, I usually wear anything between a size 6-8. DId I have the right to be insulted.

I have worked retail and customer service for years and I would never tell a customer that. We would have been fired on the spot

what a *****. dont be offended.
something similar happened to me the other day... i was looking at the little boy's shirts (8-12 year old) in a skateboard store the other day, and a worker walks by and says, "those are the little boy clothes, you know."
well no **** sherlock.
as you said, they dont know who youre looking for.. yourself or someone else. and you have eyes, they dont need to say irrelevant stuff.

She obviously doesn't know how to deal with the public. Write a short note to the manager and let her know what was said to you. Maybe then the girl will get more training. She was probably just trying to help, but went the wrong way about it.

well she was a little rude to start a customer contact that way and could use better training. We always suggest open ended questions and approaching the customer with a non judgmental question.
I wouldn't have appreciated that at all but again who is she to you anyhow?

I would be insulted, what the hell was she trying to imply? Maybe she was just in a bad mood, and politely took it out on you. But, who cares, she's just some stupid sales girl!

next time just ask her if she wouldnt mind going and picking out a pair to model for you and if they look good you may consider raising her commission by purchasing a pair for your aunt bertha.

tell her to get a life no one should talk to you that way. I would speak to the manager and demand an apology.

Take it from who it comes.
Is this someone whose opinion you've respected for years?
If not, shake it off. You sound hot to me.
