Went to the hospital for the very first time last summer. The nicest thing was the people at work being concerned (I don't even get along with all of them).

You can get pretty restless after four days in the hospital. Even a nice room with a view.

What's the nicest thing someone did for me while in a hospital? They kept my spirits up, and said that was going to help me leave the hospital sooner. I don't know if that's true, but it gave me something to keep my mind busy on, while I was there.

I work in a hospital, and I have seen nurses give money out of pocket to help patients pay for their prescriptions. Oh, and of course I've seen lives saved :-) that's pretty nice! I got sick once and came to the ER that I work at, and my nurses (they baby me to death, I'm 22 and have been working there since I was just barely 19) skipped me ahead of all of the other patients to treat me. That was nice :-)

I was a patient, but I didn't actually have to stay there. It was almost 11 years ago, but I do remember that my mom drove the entire 4 hour trip from our house to my aunt's house in about 2 1/2 hours...it was my 8th bday, so she was a little worried...

yes, when I had my kids. I had one nurse who knew I was getting frustrated after 27 hours of back labor and the doctor started talking about a c-section. I was doing it natural (NO DRUGS) and she sat there with me and rubbed my back for 30 minutes straight! That was sooooooo nice! (and needed! back labor SUCKS!)

Unfortunately after 29 L O N G hours of drug-free labor I had to have a c-section.

When I was in a hospital one time, I remember getting Surge (the failed Coca-Cola product).

Someone gave me a magazine to read when they finished rather than just tossing it.

My nurse flirted with me and then it got a tad frisky in there, you know what I mean!?
