I have a friend who moved away about 15 years ago. She was never good about staying in touch. When she had a baby, I sent a present. No thank-you from her. Two years ago her daughter got married. I received an invite and sent $100.00. No thank-you note. Now, I received a high school graduation announcement for her son. I don't have extra money to spare. Is it ok not to send a gift or money?

Do you really not have enough good old hard cash to buy that big ticket item of $5.00? Do you enjoy paying intrest on your cheeseburgers?

I recently went to a bank to professional investors concerning an investment I would like to make. Upon my meeting the investment counselor, I firmly shook his hand...

During the session, he saw me wipe my nose with a tissue several times.

As I got up to leave, he wanted to shake my hand. I refused, stating I had a runny nose/cold.

After I left I felt weird like I should have just shook his hand and then let him worry about his own germs..

What is the proper etiquette here? If someone sees you wipe or blow your nose are you supposed to be shaking hands? It is a professional transaction afterall, and important to do so.

Prom used to be a celebration & social event, but not it's more of a fashion show, function for how healthy your wallet (or your father's wallet) may be.

I live in a town with LOTS of colleges, and when I was in college I had a nice apartment. Most of them are so gross and unkept that it shocks me. What is going on??

She's into soccer, softball, tween movies and actors, Harry Potter, arts and crafts, music (but I don't know what kind---I've already done the iTunes gift card), dogs and cats. She babysits my two young daughters, who love her. This is for her "eighth-grade graduation" and she will be attending a competitive private high school in the fall. I'm looking to spend around $30.

I have a few girl buddies who, when I would ask if they'd like to go get something to eat, would reply with that. What do you naturally assume about people like that? And how would you react to it?

I just had 2 1/2 weeks off for my wedding. Now, that I am married I am going to start working with my husband. When should I quit my job?
Do you think I should wait a little while since I just had 2 weeks off?

The reason is is you make a donation by gift aid the charity also get the tax you paid on your income. If you put the money in the collection in the street or at work they lose this tax benifit. So don't ever give to a collection

I work in a small office with four other women. There is one woman that constantly urinates on the toilet seat and leaves other lovely bodily fluids and hairs behind as well. One of my co-workers and I have gone as far as to put a sign on the toilets reading "Please Wipe the Seat!!!", but to no avail. Although we know for sure that it is this one woman doing it, no one in the office is close to her, so no one wants to approach her about it. Any ideas?

I find I am paranoid about being too know-it-all, dominant and mouthy. I have had a lot of life experience, some big knocks and I like to cut to the chase. Sometimes if people come to me with their problems (happens a lot) I feel I can see their situation or the answer all too clearly and so I say it. I also don't let people get away with rudeness or insensitivity, when others would stay quiet. Can you dig? Where does one draw the line between assertiveness, rudeness, honesty, helpfulness, politeness...? It's a question we all have to deal with. I think you should always be true to yourself and speak from the heart, despite the consequences, but sometimes it's hard to be different... what do you think?

I made up one about a friend having a tatoo on his butt, and he can't disprove it without showing his rump. That one has lasted for 8 years.
