Do you ever dance in the street?
Do you ever say a cheery "hello" to a stranger?
What is the result?

The gesture involves putting the tip of your thumb on your nose and extending all fingers upward and wiggling them. The sticking out of the tongue is optional. Just wondering if this has any actually origins or if it's even possible to find anything on this. o_O But... that's the point of asking right ?!!? ^_^

I'm not saying it's good or bad, I'm just wondering if anyone else notices this type of behavior in others.

I just started a new job. It's a partner organization to the place i resigned from earlier this year. In terms of good work etiquette, who do i need to inform? I also am on the board of several organizations.. so far they've been reaching me on my cel and land line... (since i no longer could be reached at an office)...do i need to inform them as well?

Just read an article in McCalls magazine that many women are using "high-tech" adult diapers that feel dry and don't leak or have odor under their clothes for convenience purposes. These are younger women and are not incontinent - just find them convenient vs. standing in long bathroom lines, etc. Any ladies heard of this or partaken?

i am in customer service for a veterinary hospital - our company has high expectations that area - as do i ! so when i go to places - i am always aware of how i'm treated.

i had this weird thought while i was in walmart the other day.

Do you ever remember what the cashier looked like when you got home - have you ever thought about it?

Does the cashier make conversation with you? or is it the
same old "hi how are you" "total is 152.32" "have a good day"
("have a good day" is optional if not rare)

If you are buying groceries - would you be annoyed if
the cashier (being a very nice/sincere person) made small
talk with you about the things you were buying?
- assuming that -
everything she would say - would be a positive thing, for example "ohh i love this ice cream- it's good" or.."my husband loves these razors" or "this is a great eye shadow - i'm going try it too"

if i worked as a cashier , i would be the girl making small
talk, does the average grocery shopper want that?

ok i take acting and see i didnt know anyone there the first time i went.tomorrow will be my second day. today whenever our parents were dropping us off, suddenly my mom started talking to this man and his daughter. so basically since me and his daughter both didnt know anyone, we hung out. later on, she started getting not-so-shy and SHE started laughing about every little thing. she is so loud people tend to stare. and im with her while they stare. we know each other now, and i cant just walk away because i dont know anyone else there and i dont wanna hurt her feelings. any ideas?

*oh and those stupid people who come on yahoo! questions to harass people, dont write anything rude! it only shows how ignorant and immature you are!

I have been working with this company for about 8 months. Everyone has been REALLY nice to me and everything. I am basically accepting this new job because it pays over 2 dollars more an hour, is a way shorter drive, and gives me more responsiblites. This is gonna come as a shock to my supervisor/co-workers as I have never mentioned even looking for a new job. I just don't want them to be upset with me, or rude to me. Especially when I am gonna have to be there for 2 more weeks. I am so nervous to talk to my supervisor tomorrow! Any suggestions to not be so nervous would be appreciated. I doubt I'll get any sleep tonite.
