a ring bearer. she would bear a ring. thus ring bearer. it is not a term that has a particular sex attached to it, like say, flower girl.

I carried the ring in a wedding when I was 5.. and I was calle a Ring Bearer.. Doesn't matter the gender, the bearer of the ring is still "Ring Bearer"

It would be 'ring bearer' whether it was a boy, girl, or the couple's pet dog, monkey or hamster.
