I'm not saying it's good or bad, I'm just wondering if anyone else notices this type of behavior in others.

I've noticed. It just makes me not want to help them even more.

Oh yes, very common!

Its always easier to get whatever from someone else than to take care of things yourself! Its ok to "help" someone.....

But being "helpful" is like wearing a 'KICK ME" sign on your back!!!

Yes, especially the homeless or poor smokers.... if they see you smoking or see a carton of cigarettes around you..."it's how are you' or some other meaningless chat and then "can you spare a cigarette" and then they are gone.

yes mostly it happens but only with the people whom you dont talk regularly to.
