The word conversate isn't slag its what people who don't know that you would say converse use. they automatically assume that conversate would be used because of the word conversation if you weren't taught that wouldn't you think the same? like whoa i had a conversation...we conversated kind of like molestation...molested(might be a poor choice of words) it just sounds better to most people so they think its proper but once you correct them they appreciate it. that's what i used to say until i was corrected...it happens

It's either slang or frankly, they just didn't do very well in school.

It is properly known as converse.

I put those same people, in the catagory of those who say.."I was taken for GRANITE!" LOL!!

They don't even know, that they're referring to a type of rock.

They never question the absurdity of what they're saying.
They have no idea, that the term is.."I've been taken for GRANTED."

You really have to kind of feel sorry for them. I do.

If they're just using the newfounded term "conversate", for a way to look cool, they are missing the mark. That one doesn't work very well because most people just view them as someone who hasn't mastered their own language yet.

Good luck, on their ever learning a second language. They can't even get THIS one right!

Just a fun way to mix up a word. Slang. But watch, it'll be in the dictionary soon.

It could be slang or a regional dialect; though I suspect it's probably a regional socio-lect.
