Look, you need to just be up front with her and have the guts to tell her that she's being too loud. That way maybe you guys can still hang out if you like her at all. If you bring it to her attention at least she will be aware of it. Either that or just stop hanging out with her. But it's better to be honest than it is for you to just ignore her.

The only thing I can think is to make a joke of it. Say something about not having to project b/c she's not on stage. Or say everyone is staring - and not in the good, star of the show way. Bottom line is probably that you either have to let her be herself and either be ok with that or you have to distance yourself a little. It's not fair to try to change her but she might not know how loud she is being.

It sounds like to me that she is nervous and possibly talks loud and laughs to get attention or because she is scared and doesn't know what else to do. Simply pull her aside and talk to her about it. Explain how you feel and ask her what you can do to help. If this doesn't work, make some new friends.

Maybe she doesnt know how loud she is, you need to let her know shhhh is quite effective...if thats not helpful just say you dont need to be so loud. I am a loud person always have been I sympathise with this girl but fortunately someone told me and I have monitored my "loudness" ever since no easy but necessary.

I don't think you'd hurt her feelings. Be honest. You don't have to yell at her - just talk to her. The worse that can happen is the both of you not hanging out with each other.

Well, if you would like to remain friends with her....Let here know! Just be yourself and say "Hey your being kinda loud, I like to keep my conversations private." That's what I do when my husband is drunk in public.

Just tell her to calm down in a nice, lightly teasing voice. Eventually she'll get it.

My friend is like that. Just ask her to keep her voice down. If she doesnt, get some duct tape lol.

introduce her and yourself to everyone else. She might be laughing because shes nervous. Maybe if she knows other people she might be less nervous.
