I love coming on here. Sarcasm is the spice of life. And no it doesn't just brings me back to earth and reminds me that no one is perfect. Good stuff

I use this tactic as well. I suspect that it doesn't make a difference, because the honker is either worried only about their safety and thus not angry anyway, or tempramental and predisposed to react angrily not matter what. There is, however, something very satisfying about waving to them because you aren't engaging them in the way that they want to engage you back. Flipping you the bird while you wave gets them no satisfaction.

I too wave (and smile really big) when honked at. I NEVER honk unless someone is about to hit me (if I have time!)
