I had a question removed when it had the word buttocks in it for "obscene or profane content."
It is the correct word for a body part.
Someone on YA needs to read a dictionary.
It is NOT A DIRTY WORD.

And also the word vagina. Is that a dirty word? NO. People grow up. There are proper words for body parts and buttocks is one of them and I do think about these parts and I am not ASHAMED!

There is nothing at all offensive about the proper names for human body parts.
Some of the more "colourful" names for these parts might be considered offensive to some people, however
And a man twirling his reproductive organs in front of your face while you're eating in an Italian restaurant is usually considered offensive.
But buttocks? Hey, if we didn't have them, how could we sit down and ask/answer all these questions?

H*** NO! But a different word may suit you better. You have a classy picture and a classy writing style. Try "tush" or something like that. Buttocks is a word Forest Gump used a few times too often.

The word buttocks makes me smile. It's a bit pompous, a bit Black Adder. I can't imagine anyone being offended by it, there are far worse words... but then, should people be offended by words?

I'm not, but I guess the older generations probably are. After all, back in the day, bellybuttons couldn't be shown on TV, they had to sleep in seperate beds (on TV), simple words we use in passing today were back then were very offensive. Like breast, nipple, buttocks, and so on...

Neither words are offensive but buttocks makes me think of a cow's rear end.

My guess is that it wasn't the word itself but the context in which the word was used. We have no information regarding that, so it's hard (at least for me) to express an opinion.

Depends on the context. If my doctor referred to them in his office, of course not. If my child used the word at the dinner table to describe her sister's face, of course.

I prefer "your hott yass" Ms.Knowitall... As to the vagina thing...that was kinda ruined by the play, "MyVagina". Better is, "your hott smizass" MsKnowitall.

I think that anyone that would legitimately be offended by the word is a moron.
