I have recently been put on Social Security Disability because of all the pain . My doctors keep giving me different diagnoses. It is hugely affecting me spine and my feet burn like I have been walking on hot charcoals all night. I am so stiff, can't get out of bed with out my pain medication. I have been diagnosed with everything from degenerative spine to arthritic spine to fibromyalgia. It is affecting my entire body, my hands, my legs, my back is killing me. Do you have anything like this and what is it? Do you have any recommendations on how to loosen my spine and relieve the pain? Does Castor Oil help? If you suffer from any thing like this please advise me. Thank You.

I bought this for my husband on our honeymoon:

"Driver carries no cash... he's married"

When he got another work truck he bought himself this one:

"Lost, wife and dog. Reward for dog."

Now it's just plain and simple: "Old Guys Rule"

I'm not much of a shopper, but I succumbed to an ad for professionally fitted lingerie and spent $72 for a new bra. It's the first time I've ever been fitted for one, and I found that for the past 25 years, I've been wearing the wrong size. The new one was so comfortable! I went to a department store and bought four more (cheaper models, don't you know!).

An occasional kahlua is an indulgence, too. I'm doing more of the driving, so I can't have a drink when we eat out, but sometimes I'll have one in the evening after we kick off our shoes.

Mom has problems getting up from chairs. She tried using a walker, but finds she needs something that has a center bar for her to hold on to for balance and to pull herself up with. I'm not sure if anything exists? Any suggestions?

I notice more and more younger folks are checking in and are letting their "voices be heard" in the senior citizens' lobby. Some seem to have stumbled into it by accident and don't know how to make a graceful exit. Some who stay are kind and some aren't.

I can barely make it our these days and make my way through those crowds. and everything is so confusing because they are always switching it around and some of the people running through these stores give me anxiety. I wish they'd have a senior market where I could feel more comfortable and also how come it is getting harder to find a place that accepts a check? I cant stand those money cards and atms..why cant things be more senior friendly?

What did you enjoy as a child that would be considered too dangerous today? Here are mine:
1.Rode my bicycle all over town, no helmet of course.
2. Played kick-the-can in the street after dark.
3.Galopped on a horse through the farm fields and woods with a younger cousin; no helmet of course.
4. Stayed out trick-or-treating with my best friend till the last porch light in town was turned off.

I am writing an article for my senior citizen targeted magazine. I am trying to find topics that interest people between the ages of 45-65.
If you are between these ages can you please tell me some things you would be interested in reading about.

Can you get compemsated for taking care of an elderly/disabled parent in their home? I would like to quit my regular job and just stay home to care for my father but cannot afford to unless I can get some form of income. Can you help? I live in the state of Wisconsin.

The ones advertising Dermitage.where that ladies face is all wrinkled and that line goes across it and her face looks like half of her face is 15. Do you find them kind of Creepy?
Sometimes they kind of freak me out.

I know of multiple, elderly retired people who do the following. They waste their time sitting in front of the TV all day long. They watch Jerry Springer, Divorce Court, Cheaters, and other trash programs. They believe every thing they see on these programs. What's worse is that they start thinking that this is how everyone lives. If anyone tries to change the channel or provide them with positive reading material they get upset. What's up with this bitter, old people thing?

The six year old from next door came to see me today. She told me she has a new kitten called Hego.

"That's great" I said. " How old is he then?"

" It's not a boy, it's a girl" she said " Mummy said it can't have babies though, cos when it's older she's cutting her private bits off!" lmao

If only birth control was that easy!

The one thing that you love to do that you are not willing to give up for any reason?...It may cause you extreme pain, and you're willing to endure that, just to be able to participate still.

My youngest brother just moved out yesterda and while we're all proud of him, mom's taking it hard, and to be honest, so am I. Mom has a condition so I take care of her, so its not like she's alone, but he's the BABY. I get choked up just thinking about it. it's like he's child, too, not just my brother. i remember his first day of school, i think i cried more than mom at his graduation! anyway, for people who've had their children move out, how did you cope?

please--no suggestions to replace him with a dog or drinking. we have a dog and we DON'T need a drinking problem, lol.
