Thought we would end up old? What is the alternative? I have not seen anyone living that does not become old. When you become old your body parts are going to wear out. Perhaps when you are 20 years old you cannot think of old age & who would want to? You are just beginning your life.

I have a bad attitude today. Another one of my parts quit working.

No. When I was younger my mother would say just wait until you have kids and I would respond with not to worry I will not see 18 let alone have kids. Now here I am a Grandmother and now a new Great Grandmother. My health warranty ran out at 50 due to bad shoulders from work and at 60 my back was injured in an auto accident. Though I still get around I cannot do a lot of the things I used to do,ex: ride horses, jog, rake the yard or garden. But life is good because God is good.

I had hoped to work at least till I was 75...retirement was not in my plan. However, my bones and spine were not good for the journey and I was forced to retire at 55. Now eleven years later, I can't walk without a mobility aid and I use my power chair to get around. Of course I didn't think I'd ever become disabled. I was so strong, such a hard worker, so physically active. I saw myself living out my days on the farm, in the woods, on the lake. Now I am in an apartment complex with others who never thought they'd be here either. I am so blessed with good family and friends, hobbies (reading, crocheting, cooking, quilting, surfing the net, writing a book, my dog, two cats and two birds, good neighbors, and one friend who takes me fishing at least once or twice a week.) Life is good. God is awesome! I'm blessed.

I am happy that I survived this long! I didn't think I would live past 21, and then past 40, and now past maybe 80 or so, but my Dad is 85 so and not senile either, so maybe I have a chance. But then, he didn't do all the bad things I did that tend to wreck one's health.

I also didn't think I would not have to work other than to trade stocks as early as I did. I plan to not retire from that, even in this stock "correction" we are now having.

yes. Life has taught me that I am not in complete control, that what I make sense of, then life will deal me another hand that cannot be played. I expect the other shoe to drop at every opportunity. Keeps me feeling the passion of life's uncertainty.

Nope, Didn't think I'd ever live to see 40. I challenged death for 20 years and it didn't take me. Now I'm glad it didn't though. Life is good!

What surprized me the most is how fast time flies, first the years go by fast in your fourties, then my 5th decade is flying by even faster.
