The good ole U S of A. While I do not agree with Goldwing's politics, the rest of his answer is right on. We are a nation of compassionate and helpful people, but we do have our embarrassments, especially out in "cereal country." To my way of thinking, those people are merely entertainment.

The real people are the ones who get out and work each day, stay out of trouble and contribute time and resources to those in need. They are the people who vote and who care what goes on in the world. They are the people who try to avoid using up the Earth's resources. They are the people who try to make a difference in the world.

And I believe the United States has more of these people.

As a US Citizen, my answer will the the US..regarless of its failings, foibles, or errors. No matter how you look at it, the US has given more help to the world than all the other nations put together. We are also some of the most arrogant of nations, thinking we know what is best for everyone...we don't. But this kind of thing comes and goes, we are not the only nation to have thought this (USSR/China have thought their systems to be best, but backed off or dissolved over this thinking). From all appearances, the French think they are the elite of the world). In all, the US has some of the most varied of resources, scenery, and tourism draws. It has one of, if not the best infrastructure in the world for travel. Its citizens are very friendly, in spite of how we are bad mouthed by so much of the world. No matter what good we do, there are nations who snipe up at the same time while asking us for help. We rush to countries who have national disasters. WE raise cash for victims of tidal waves, Earthquakes, etc. And, we have a much higher than average amount of personal freedom, in spite of what the present adminisitration would like to allow. Judging from the lenght of waiting time for immigration, judging from the amount of illegal immigration to the US, I suspect that many in the world are in agreement with me.

USA. I really don't know any place else that I would rather live. There are plenty of nations that I would like to visit, but most of them are not safe these days. So sad.

Well I like the U.S. best, but next to it would be Canada. I like being able to go to Montreal and feel like I am in Paris and go to Toronto or British Columbia and get the feeling of England. It is beautiful country and I love the cool air it brings to the U.S.
