It depends what kind of person you appear to be to others. If you seem like a sex-hound, whether or not you are, it would be a disgusting thing. If you seem closer to the caring big brother figure, then it should be fine. If you are a good influence on her things may just turn out great. You have the same age difference me and my boyfriend are. I'm 17 and he's turning 21 soon. We've been together 5 years and never fought before. It CAN work, but you have to understand how teenagers work and be supporting when she's going through those teen phases. Just take it slowly. Despite what most professionals think, it's usually the younger partner who pressures the elder one for sex, and that ruins relationships if it's done too early. Girls her age want to grow up too fast, you can't let her but you shouldn't restrict her, either. It can work, and it's not weird. A lot of adults marry 10+ years apart. It's just the younger age group that sees it as socially unacceptable. Actually, she may get more popular for dating a senior, but you may get some dirty looks. My boyfriend gets bitched at once a week for dating a little girl. (I look like I'm freakin' 12, so he gets that A LOT). Don't let age inhibit you if you really like her.

I'm beyond your age range, but I think Ray looks pretty good. I've participated in 2 different writers groups for seniors. Travel is a good one especially if it is inexpensive like day trips with a group to any place of interest. Our local college mails a brochure twice yearly with scheduled bus trips for seniors. The trips have been requested by seniors and are evaluated by us also. Our multi cultural arts center provides various art classes for the community but seniors over 60 attend free. A list of places where seniors can get free things or discounts works well. Why did you pick ideas from people 45 - 65 for ideas for seniors. What in the world are we after 65? Geriatrics?

I'm 67, but I remember being 65 like it was only two years ago.
Topics that interest anyone should be of interest to seniors. Fishing, golfing, bowling, knitting, sewing, fitness, cooking, crafts, travel, home maintenance, decorating.
You've chosen a very limited age range for topics that should have interested these people before they reached this age range and will continue to interest them after they pass it.

As for me its exactly what I was interested in when I was younger, if its activites they are mostly things I can no longer do, NOT because of my age but because of a disability from a work related accident.
IF I didnt have that disability I would be climbing, canoing, biking, playing tennis, working, carrying on with a career, renovating and decorating a home, volunteering - everything I had always done --
You dont step through a gate that locks behind you when you hit a magic number. Life goes on pretty much as it always did.

Well, we weren't all blessed with reaching this age with a wonderful significant other. It would be interesting to find out what the other singles are looking for. I am not necessarily talking about marriage. Just companionship and the things they look for that other people in our age group are looking for, such as, personal interest, art, dancing, photography, outdoor activities, gardening, family etc.

more popular columns here that are aimed at my age group:
Dating: (written by a man, believe it or not, has very interesting views of today's dating, who so many women have no interest in dating any longer, gives warning signs to both sexes of what to look out for, etc.
Kids: views on handling grandchildren when the parent won't!
Travel: age-friendly sites, tours, etc.
Marriage and retirement: (now here is a column that looks at all the facets, pleasant or un....and why so many are left in shock when they are faced with their spouse 24/7....I am surprised there are not more divorces in this age group!

Absolutely the same thing as before they were seniors most likely, I haven't changed except maybe larger print. Right now I'm on Kathrine Harrison, Poison and finished the Plum Lovin (Stephanie Plum if you please) Series by Janet Evanovich. Of course I may be wrong I've been there before so lets try the Agatha Christie Series......

How about an article about putting the romance back in their lives...How to "date" again if they are an old married couple. And tips on how to date for real if they are single.
I know a lot of seniors that don't even try, because they just DO NOT KNOW HOW to go about it.
I would certainly read it.

Heath, healthy eating, fashion, home decorating, gardening, science, philosophy, art, little known historical facts, travel, etc etc. We are pretty much the same when we get older as when we were young. We still like to have fun and we still like sex!
