I work everyday and all my paycheck goes to paying the bills for my family to be able to have somewhere to live, food on the table and lights and water. I work so that my family can have the things that they need to live, and this year I am unable to get Christmas gifts for my children. I just wanted to know if there was someone out there that would help a family in need. I live in Madison NC and all of the organizations that help with Christmas has a deadline and on the days that they offer service I had to work and could not get up there to sign up for any help this year. So if there are any people, companys, or organizations out there that would help me please let me know. Thank you very much for your time and your help would be very much appreciated.

And if so, what do you give? I don't give money, but I donate teddy bears to the local ambulance service and I give blood. This year I am adopting a child off the Angel tree. Will you?

I'm a twelve year old girl who wants to help the people of africa, yet I don't know how to. I hear of all other kids who have done this and that, and I don't know how they do it. I want to do something to help, so if you've read this, please help me help other people :).

I just wanted a little background information about the sorority. Where does the money go? What kind of charities or organizations do they support? When were they founded?

I volunteer to ring the bell for the salvation army. Lots of people keep their head down or walk around. Why not just a smile and hello even if you can't donate?

I'm very disappointed with the services of Talk talk. I have ordered Talk talk service from May 2006: landline and "free" broadband. Landline just works (but if there is any problem - relay on God, there is no help!) Broadband is really nightmare! Keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes and there is nobody who can help you, only over the phone! There
your horror starts! You have to wait hours and listen to a terrific music before someone starts talking to you (you have to speak for short or long time explaining about your problems to probably all members of Talk talk and they will put you through to each other) and then eventually that's your lucky day if “the right adviser" doesn't hang up phone on you while you are talking but even if he doesn't he wont know how to help! Then you have to pay for all this mess because phone call to a technical support is very expensive! All technical support service advisors are in India, Malaysia and somewhere else, but not in London. So if you are not an IT engineer you won’t be able to use service you are paying for and if you want to cancel it you have to pay cancellation charge of £70. Does anyone have same problems as me?

I am the oldest of 6 kids and no longer live at home but my 5 younger siblings still do. It breaks my heart everytime i go over there becuase i had everything growing up and since my step dad has been laid off and between jobs the last 5-6 years they have almost nothing now. They live in a mobile home that is falling apart due to water damage and wear and tear of 6 kids. All i want for christmas is for them to have a new home, i just have no idea how to make it happen or who i could turn to. I know habitat for humanity needs a good credit score to qualifty which my parents dont have. They are trying to get back on there feet but in the situation the are in it all seems so hopeless. Any charities, national or otherwise, any of your local churchess... Anything that could help would be appreciated. I help when i can but i can only help so much. Please help me find some way to help my family. thank you

i used to be a car audio installer back in 1995-1999. i had freedom to design boxes, door panels, sub placement, amp location...whatever. for the past few years i've been a college student, going for nursing. i have a 3.43 gpa, but the nursing schools are over filled. so onwards and upwards? i can graduate in two more semesters as a counselor with my B.S. some of my profs are telling me i need to go to grad school and should pursue environmental law (the environment is my passion). the thing is is that i'm so sick of school....its really just another institutionalized business. i would hope that grad school is different than normal college, but i'm unsure how deep i should let myself get into debt. for the past week or two i've been wanting to just finish this semester out and go get a job....just about any job. but the funny thing is is that i am now 46,000 dollars in debt for education loans/expences. what should i do? damned if i do, damned if i dont. ideas?

I'm doing a bit of a project and asking those close to me this question:

"Would you donate money to someone in need, if you didnt know who it was going to or why?"

I was suprised to see only a few would, I think it's about being able to emphathise with the charity that makes people donate, what do you think?

I also posted this in my blog, a link to donate to my paypal fund I started to collect money for a friend in need, I only generated a few dollars. (it's typically a button but html is too long to post here)

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=neo_7775%40yahoo%2ecom&no_shipping=2&no_note=1&tax=0¤cy_code=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF&charset=UTF%2d8

This is a Question I'm trying to pose to a much larger group, the yahoo answers community.

I am below sixty-five but near to. I am looking for a job for adults with applying more than ten time at many shopping centers; nowhere gives me a chance. The last time I've applyed in Mervyn shopping at Northgate Mall. Madam manager made an interview and gave me a drug testing with a suggestion of beginning wage. Everything was ok and I accepted. She advised me waiting some days. After that I got a letter from the personel manager in the office at the corporation which canceled me as a chooser. The additional question is why I am not?
