I would work to end poverty anyway. But if the prize is empowerment to end racism, empowerment to find new medicines for AIDS, Cancer and pain, I will dedicate more of myself.

The objective of working to end poverty is not to have any rewards. Of course with prizes attached to the objective, the organisers could draw more participants and hence achieve their target/s faster and probably easier.
Personally I feel that working towards an objective such as ending proverty should be left to the heart of the individual. To contribute on one hand and receiving a reward (probably larger one) on the other defeats the purpose.

Only if it were a prize for a full scholarship to finish my education.
But I work to end poverty now and the only prize I get is serving God, which is the best !
