Supposing there is a huge divine plan, and God did exist, wouldn't the Devil be interested in using fallen or atheist people to get in the way of the believers, and push them off-course, and eventually and hopefully turn them from God completely?
I mean even for non-believers, who try to be good people, do you ever encounter bad-seeds, or shady types that after a while can be a danger to yourself, your career and your family?
Perhaps this should be asked to non-believers as well as believers, because we all, regardless of religious beliefs, have to encounter bad life circumstance, personal tragedy, illness, and encounter people who end up harming us more so than causing any good to come out of it.
Now, since I'm a believer, or at least WANT to believe, better than believing Bush and humanity (eye roll), the closer you turn to God, will your life get harder and you're setting yourself up as a major target for the devil and his minions?
If that's the case, why torture urself?
