I agree with what the others are saying, that it should be something small, relatively inexpensive, and not too intimate a gift. But by now you should know some of the things he's interested in. Whatever the gift should probably tie in with his interests. For example, if he's a coffee drinker and he's into football, try finding a travel mug with the logo of his favorite team and get him a gift card to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. That way he knows it's a token, no pressure gift for Christmas, but at the same time he knows you pay attention to what he's into.

I agree with most of the others. Something small but fairly inexpensive. If you are still getting to know him, maybe a CD, or even a new movie that he mentioned he wanted to buy, I always included a card and include the gift receipt just in case they didn't like it then they can exchange it. I am sure he will be very happy that you thought to buy him something.

Happy Holidays!

i had the same situation once-got him a 'gamer' magazine (xbox finatic) wrapped in plain tissue paper and wrapped with a bow-then i tied a starbuck $5 gift card on the front (he loved coffee) very cheap, very thoughtful. 3 weeks is not very long-don't make a huge expensive jesture-a small cheap thoughtful one goes over better-and then if he doesn't get you anything you won't feel stupid

Something small - less than $20 - and nothing overly personal or romantic.

How about baking him a batch of cookies to share with his friends and family?

Yes, something under $20. Gadgets or electronics are ok, except for electric nose hair clippers.
