My company just issued an invitation for our holiday luncheon, and the restaurant has an "upscale casual" dresscode. Any suggestions?

Michael Richards better known as Kramer from tv's Seinfeld, does make a good point. This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act. He makes some very interesting points.

Proud To Be White

Someone finally said it.
How many are actually paying attention to this?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans,
Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans.

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.
You Call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,'
'Whitey,' 'Caveman' ... and that's OK.

But when I call you, ******, Kike, Towel head,
Sand-******, Camel Jockey, Beaner, ****, or Chink ...
You call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you,
so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United ***** College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah.
continued....

I read that King James (as in the King James version) was a homosexual and that he was affectionately called "Queen James" by his friends.

At the age of thirteen James fell madly in love with his cousin Esmé Stuart whom he made Duke of Lennox. James deferred to Esmé to the consternation of his ministers. In 1582 James was kidnapped and forced to issue a proclamation against his lover and send him back to France.

Despite his homosexual activities James later fell in love with and married Anne of Denmark with whom he had seven children.

God, and man was having a pleasant stroll.
Man asks, " GOD, why did you make woman so beautiful"?
GOD replied "So you would love her".
Then man asked "GOD, why did you make woman so stupid"?
and GOD replied "So she would love you".
Comments, anyone?

I think that they see the logic in atheist arguments but are emotionally unprepared to accept what they intuitively suspect is true. So they just willfully disregard atheist arguments.

Some Christians seem to think it's acceptable to call the US a 'Christian Nation' simply because Christians are the majority. I admit that they are the majority, but that in no way makes them right. So using that 'logic' should we also say America is a 'White Nation'?

*If you are not white please do not take offense. I am merely trying to make a point and do not agree with using either phrase.

Seriously if you can not give a true gut feel honest answer then please don’t bother, Hypothetically, if you were in the city and you got turned around and missed your ride, and you had to walk, but you made a wrong turn down a street and found yourself in a long dimly lit alley. Suddenly up ahead of you, you see a group of young men. 8 to 10 of them. You can hear the laughs and bits of the conversations but you can not make out what is being said, by now its too late to turn back, you must go forward. You can see the men are holding something in their hands but you can’t tell just what it is. Now you can see a sign just above the doorway where they are standing. Now since you can not turn back and you must walk right past this group to get where you can find help, Which would you rather read on that sign above the door? 5th Street Bar, with the men holding bottles of beer? or 5th Street Christian Outreach with the men holding bibles?

I'm the kind of person that likes to get to know everyone. Learn about their cultures, what they are like.

But, I was told from some people that I am trying to be everyone's friend to feed my need for constant approval.

I'm not searching for approval or acceptance.

What do I say to make people understand that?
