Personally, I don't think so. That can get too expensive.

These are all great ideas. the coffee is especially, for the morning. Maybe you can do something like Bring a box of donuts along for the ride, or bake cookies or brownies, you can all share in the car. something simple.
The santa hats are addorable! i would be thrilled if i was driving down the road one morning and i look over to see a van full of people wearing silly hats munching on donuts :)
Maybe grab a silly christmas cd to listen to that day. it will put everyone in the spirit :) and they will probably have a great day at work and spread the holiday cheer!

It's completely up to you. Personally I wouldn't start that. If you do decided to do something which is really nice of you go with something really small.
-coffee or hot chocolate for everyone in the morning
-little ornament from the dollar store
-a candle
- 3D glasses to look at Christmas lights in the van. They change the lights to little snowflakes. I purchased mine at the Art Gallery but if you search Christmas 3D glasses you will find some.
-keychain
-Santa hats for everyone at the Dollar Store or Elf Hats
-bake cookies for everyone
Some people may feel that they now should give you a gift. To stay away from that just go with something really simple.

If you do, I would get them all the same thing - and something inexpensive to do with commuting. If it were me, I would get them all travel coffee mugs, or Starbucks gift cards. Esp. with the gift cards, you can hold them back if no one else is giving. Just a thought!

It depends on how close the group is. Are you just passing acquaintances or friends? Maybe you can suggest a grade-school type exchange gift where each of you brings just one gift and you draw lots on who gets whose gift. It's cheaper and no one gets left out.

Keep your ears open and see if anyone else might be doing it and suggest either drawing names or make some homemade goodies for all to take home to share.
