Religious people say that God created everyone. They also say that He's perfect. Why, then, are gays so hated by some religious people?

A prominent Islamc group in Britian has condemned the Sudanese punishement against the British teacher...yet CAIR in America hasnt?

First, it should be noted that, in England, Islamic terror is an even bigger concern and the government as been cracking down bigtime. So its natural to expect Islamists in England to start softening their rhetoric simply as a matter of self preservation.

On the other hand, CAIR in America has no worries about self preservation, because in America, there is no anti-islamic backlash. Hate crimes have only peaked against jews, not Muslims. So, CAIR doesnt need to back off its Islamist agenda and thus, doesnt need to contradict any mainstream Islamic views, as the British group has.

I went to Catholic grade school and was taught that God is omniscient, which means that He's all-knowing. I was also told that He's omnipotent, which means that He's all-powerful. It stands to reason that He's all-good. When it comes to belief in God, though, child rape is a big problem for me.

If God is all-knowing, then He knows that a rape of a child is about to happen. If He's all-powerful, it means that it's within His ability to stop it. If He's all-good, it means that He would want to stop it.

Why, then, does He not stop little kids from being raped?

And if I pick the name all of you vote for as the best, do you think I should lose my job, get 40 lashes, 6 months in jail and close down my place of employment because of death threats?

I once heard a guy say to me, " You arent tired of Christians and Christianity but you are tired of the hypocrites that practice it."
I really believe this could be the smartest thing that anyone has ever said to me.
I do indeed hate religion though.
So do you agree with the sentence or do you just hate religion in general?

Sorry if it sounded a bit awkward asking. (Limited Question Space) The main point of the message is eventually I want to be willing to devote time with needed elderly. Just wandering this would be a great thing to do. All I know is that in today's world most young people can sometimes be self centered (not all), but seems like some are more on the side of disrespecting them, then treating them friendly. And when this occurs I know that by experience that one little help or friendly conversation can let them feel that they are important people in our lives still. I am a person that has great amount of empathy in my heart and this is how I would like to share it.

I had a cat named Morgan (le Feyline) Emmeline. My new kitten is Mageia Samatha. (Mageia is Greek for magic. I call her Maggie.) I also had an Andromeda (who I called Ande). All of these names stem from my witchiness. Were your pet names or children names inspired by your faith?

I saw a question earlier asking why creationism isn't taught in american schools. This got me thinking and my question for those intelligent design people out there is this: what do you teach? I'm trying to envision a class period devoted to ID, that doesn't involve a specific religion (If you teach one, you gotta teach 'em all). What would the teacher talk about? God, an omnipotent being, made everything you see in an instant. Where do you go after that if you're not going to inject specific religions?

My 2 year-old had a HUGE temper tantrum when I took all his toys away to re-wrap them for Christmas this year.

Should he get them back on the 25th, or is a sound bashing in order?

I feel like it is more common now to be Atheist in younger generations, although that could be people are less fearful of expressing their beliefs now than many years ago. What do you think? Is there any sort of data on this subject as to what percent of the world is Atheist today as opposed to thousands of years ago?

As there is only one Truth, there can only be one explanation for dinosaurs according to Christianity. Which is it:

a. Dinosaurs never existed and "dinosaur bones" were deceptively placed by Satan to turn us away from the Lord.
b. Dinosaurs died out in the flood.
c. Dinosaurs became extinct around 65 million years ago and further species evolved to fill their gap in the ecosystem.
d. God made dinosaurs and killed them when he chose to for his own reasons and we cannot know the ways of the Lord.
e. Other - please provide detail.

Thanks.

Man boarded an airplane in Sydney, Australia, with a box of crabs. A female crew member took the box and promised to put it in the crew's refrigerator, which she did.

The man advised her that he was holding her personally responsible for the crabs staying frozen, and proceeded to rant and rave about what would happen if she let the crabs thaw out.

Shortly before landing, she announced to the entire cabin, "Would the gentleman who gave me the crabs in Sydney, please raise your hand?"

Not one hand went up ... so she took them home and ate them herself!
