well, how a person behaves speaks wonders about what they believe ...

Yes and No. How you behave is very important. But, then there is the question of why you behave that way.
If you behave in a moral way but you in your heart you wished you had the courage to do the evil things you dream of, then your good behaviour ultimately will gain you nothing.

If you live a good and moral life but, you only do it because you fear hells fire if you don't and if you thought there was no hells fire you would be free to do otherwise, then your good behaviour ultimately gains you nothing.

If you live a good an moral life because you believe in your heart that it is truly what is right and you would not wish to do otherwise or in anyway harm others by so doing, then it gains you everything.

Does God need to be in this picture? I believe that He ultimately does, however I don't believe that this life is your only chance to find God and Christ. But, I do believe it is the only life to prove your good and moral intentions.

I agree, but how I behave is generally a direct reflection of what I believe

I do not agree. I believe they are completely interrelated.

There is an old Latin phrase:

"Lex orandi, lex credendi"

"The Law of Prayer equals the Law of Belief". In other words - how you pray (or act) has everything to do with how (or what) you believe.

Which is why it is so important that the Church be the arbiter of truth....if everybody is allowed to believe whatever they want about Holy Scripture....we might end up with 30,000 different denominations.

Oh. Wait. We do.

It is A Question Of Love. Most religious doctrines teach a concept of love. and most believers follow in this concept earnestly. While there are many who distort it and even bypass it. So I say even though a persons beliefs may teach you to act(Behave) out of love one to another. Are behavior is what defines us as a people. Whether or not you are able to live your life respecting people with love.

"Do as you will so as it is done with love that harms none" The Wiccan Rede

" Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself" The Holy BIBLE

"No Greater Love hath a man than this, That he be willing to lay down his life for his bretheran" The Holy Bible

No I do not believe that 100%, because a person can conduct their self in an acceptable manner, yet if they do not believe in Jesus Christ they will still face eternal punishment. However believing in Jesus Christ does not give us permission to behave in an unacceptable manner.

What you believe plays a part in how you behave. Remember, you're a conglomeration of a bunch of things all "glued" together that makes you who you appear to be to others and how you present yourself to others.

I believe it is the other way around. I think what a person believes relfects how a person behaves.

Not really because belief produces behaviour. Romans 10:10 "...for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness..."

No. What you believe shows itself in how you behave, regardless of what you say you believe.
