How long can I have a thought in my head before it becomes a sin? 5 seconds? If I'm able to enjoy all these thoughts for the legal amount of time, do I avoid sin?

No, the computer had to be designed, by a team of omnipotent and nerdy engineers. This is the theory of nerdilligent design. Of course the operating system, that was probably kludged together from somebody's old college thesis project.

I can understand why many sins are well...sins

--you lie, you could end up deceiving a person and thus hurting them.
--you kill somebody, you took away their life and somebody special that meant a lot to others
--you steal, you might have taken something thats dear and important to somebody else
--you cheat, and you could fall in love with your partner in crime and lose interest in whoever your with and thus end up hurting them

but I dont see what is so wrong with me touching myself?

I mean if I was promiscuous and all then I could understand but who the hell gets hurt if I feel on myself every once in a while? Thats what I just dont get. Who am I hurting?

Its one of the few pleasures in life that not only are actually free, but that you dont need anybody else to enjoy. And we cant even do that?

So if anybody can tell me who Im hurting by touching myself then I would gladly appreciate it.

I ask this with the utmost respect for your faith.... and only a desire to learn.

How do you reconcile the ideas of original sin and the age of atonement????

Why would a child at any age not have to atone for its deeds if it were born with sin????

Peace and Blessings,
Sakina

I know that Louis VI the fat, Louis VII the young, Louis VIII the lion, Louis IX the saint, Phillip III the bold, Charles VIII, Louis XII the father of his people, and Louis XVI are the only French Kings I can think of that didn't cheat on their wives. Henry III, Edward I, Henry VI, Richard III, Charles I, George III, George IV, and George V are the only English Kings that I can think of that didn't cheat on their wives either. Please do not include short-reigning kings or reigning queens please!

if there really is a god, do you think he'll send us to hell for not believing in him? or more for making fun of his followers?

I think he'd send us there more for mocking christianity than for just not believing in him...

Did you know that YA rule? My question got deleted because I asked the age of people using the Senior Citizen category. I had started to wonder if young troublemakers were causing turmoil on here. Read fast, this will probably get deleted too.

what ethics lie under these:
Cinderellla
Snow white
Three little Piggies
Red Riding hood
The Three Bears
Hansel and Gretal
any more? when you think about it, there must be ethical values behind them when thought logically? i know there;s a moral but what do you think the ethics are in them stories. feel free to add any others. thanks :) Even nersery rhymes will do too. like baa baa black sheep is known to be racist.
PS ethical meaning communism, violence, abuse etc. I dont look deep into things but its for a project and I need to get to the bottom of it to build a concept. lol
