There is absolutely nothing stopping you. If you need a holiday for that to take place maybe your family love isn't as strong as you might think. This is something you can work on and try to make people get allong better.
By the way there are a lot of other holidays that the family could get together. Thanksgiving celebrates an act that took place several hundred years ago. This happened a short time before we started taking the land and the lives of the indians. Ironic isn't it, we thank them, then kill them. Kind of like the black widow spider.pp

1. Thanksgiving is the day the Native Americans helped the pilgrims. To which the pilgrims wouldn't be around for much longer.
2. My family gets together about 3 times a year. We have Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Thanksgiving. Is the 1st dinner between the two people. Haha not going to lie, I can't think of the names of the two :P opps. But really there was a Thanksgiving between spain and the indians way before the *1st thanksgiving*
But then you have to think about Christmas and all the other holidays, that family gets together on. Well, Why is there only one Christmas? well cause it Christ's birthday, can't go having 4 brithdays for one guy in one year. :P

We have other holidays for that: Easter, Christmas, 4th of July, etc.
There was a survey on the radio last night and the dj said that 39% of all americans don't even like to spend time with their families for the holidays. Plus a lot of people have to travel.
Anyways, too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. All the food!! LOL

Yes, that family time more than once a year would be nice. Maybe distance keeps this from happening in many families. Sometimes illness in families prevents families from enjoying time together as well. Families who can get together often should do so, & not wait for a holiday. Life is so short.

Who's to say families can only be together on Thanksgiving? Really, Thanksgiving is only one day out of the year families should be together, but there are countless others.

Well thanksgiving only happened one day when the pilgrams and the indians had there meal together and maybe it should be more days since it wasn't all in one day because they didn't like each other and that is part of the story so yay maybe it should be more days but it is mostly just that one day that brings families together

Move to appalachia, bring your entire family including grandparents and you'll have Thanksgiving every day. In my case however, I am so old I wish they would have some completely different holidays, like Breast Cancer Survivor Day where they send a hot young stud to massage my back with oil.

it's only one day a year because we'd all weigh a thousand pounds!
But yes, you are right it would be great to spend more than one day a year being thankful with our families
