Technology is destructive only in the hands of people who do not realize that they are one and the same process as the universe

The technology these days is possible because of God not because of man.

It is used for evil and at the same time for good.

Just think of how many people all over the world can now be reached by the gospel using this technology.

I think it's pretty clear that God is pleased with todays technology or HE would shut it down

I'm sure he likes some of it. Most of the good technology is not put to use wide scale because it does not produce high profits for stock holders. God will use technology to clean up the mess mankind has made after Armageddon.

What technology?

O.K. Children playing on the seashore. Well, THAT was Newton in his days.

But since God made the stars, and leaves, and (according to the Bible) his chief angel could travel several parsec in one week, I don't think He would have a very high opinion of our technology.

We who believe in God believe that we are created in God's image. One of the attributes of God is the very fact that he creates things; in that respect, I think God is probably pleased that we also create things. I'm not a person who believes that a creation (either human beings or devices) are inherently "good" or "evil" - I think it all depends on how we use what we have. I like to think that God expects us to use all those nifty little gadgets for good uses, and not bad ones that will harm ourselves or someone else. What determines the "good" and "bad" uses is another matter, and a bit long for this forum.

Happy Thanksgiving :-)

I'm not sure I qualify to speak for the Almighty, but I'll give it a shot. I think God views technology as he does all of man's creations: tools that can be used for good or bad.

God is fine with our technology :)

He created us and our intelligence, and technology arises as a consequence of our applying our intelligence (within the context of the "natural" laws that God created for our universe).

Cordially,

He might think it is neat. Since He did create all of the materials to produce these things. But who knows, I'm really in no position to know what God thinks about this having no reason either way.

Probably not too impressed...our attempts at computers and artificial vision pale in comparison to what He created in the workings of the brain and our own eyes. Even a basic cell is enormously complex and we have trillions of them in our bodies. We are truly wonderfully made.

God the Father created all this technology, we have yet to understand all of His creations, it is our job to give them all names as we come to identify them.
