I do believe that if a woman was raped then she does have a choice to not have the child. The cases can be different for anyone. For example if the girl is 14 years old then abortion in her case would be a lifesaver if she was raped. But if the person had sex intentionally and got pregnant then they must suffer the consequences for their mistakes and not choose the easy way out. But for someone who was raped they didn't have a choice therefore it wouldn't be wrong to get rid of the child if you know that you cannot raise it.

Rape - if I had been raped, I'd like to think that a baby would be the LAST thing on my mind. There are far more serious consequences than a pregnancy after rape (AIDS, psychological issues, etc.) Thankfully I've never been in that situation, but from my perspective now, I'd like to think that I'd have enough compassion and common sense to give the child a chance at life. There's nothing wrong with adoption. It's not the child's fault he/she is a product of rape.

Backstreet abortions - Yes, they should. How is their life any more important than that of an unborn child? They're willing to risk their lives having abortions by untrained physicians, so if they die, they die. If they do, it's too deaths--not just one.

Crime rates - how has crime risen from illegal abortions? Do you have some statistics?

Okay the pro abortionist beleive that a baby is just tissue and it can be wiped away like it never existed.I had a baby at 14..Im glad I had him.My Doctor said due to my pcos that was the only baby id ever have.No I do not see women as a baby sack but I think doing the right thing and putting faith in God will guide any one though a hard time and That the baby isnt just half of the rapist he is half of the woman. You love your own blood .Plain and simple. How a woman can support killing a baby I dont know.Ive known girls that got abortions because they were afraid of getting fat.Its just ridulous how selfish and immature alot of these girls seeking abortion are. They need to use birth control or consider adoption. So far as the increase in crime.Murdering babies is a crime so I dont see how it could get any worse than that.

These are common questions; I don't mind answering them. FYI, I am extremely pro-life, preferring that handle to "anti-abortion". It describes my position better: there is more that I am for, than I am against!

1. I do not support abortions for women whose child was concieved by rape. For starters, rape victims rarely become pregnant. The percentage is VERRRY small, usually due to bad timing (she is not fertile at the time of the attack) or bad plumbing (on the part of the rapist).

In the rare event a woman DOES concieve her attacker's child, I still do not reccommend an abortion. The child has done NOTHING wrong, and does not deserve to be put to death! If caught and convicted, would her attacker recieve the death penalty? NO!!! Why does the rapist get free legal counsel, a trial, an appeal, discounted room and board, free counseling (with a psychiatrist), and job education, when the child gets a DEATH PENALTY???

If I was raped, I would carry my child to term AND raise him/her. MY child is not guilty of the crime of his/her father; my child is another victim. For those who don't feel they can give a secure home to their attacker's child, there are plenty of people who are willing to adopt. Life, for the innocent, is always a better choice than death.

2. The statistics often quoted by Planned Parenthood and their affiliates on "deaths by backstreet abortions", prior to 1972, are grossly inflated. Still, the solution to stopping "backstreet" abortions is not to legalize abortion, any more than the solution to stopping lethal overdoses of illegal drugs is to legalize cocaine. Should we legalize drunk driving in order to remove the stigma of getting killed in a drunk driving accident?

People should not kill their children. PERIOD. That the child has not been born yet should not matter. We did not feel sorry for the woman who killed her children by drowning them in her car because she didn't "feel" like she could take care of them any more. The child growing within a pregnant woman is just as helpless as a child strapped into a car seat, just smaller. If you don't want your child, call social services, not a hit man!

3. We do not reduce the crime rate by making criminal acts legal. If THAT really worked, all we have to do to drastically reduce the crime rate is to legalize rape, robbery, murder, drug trafficking, assault/battery, stalking, and drunk driving. Would anyone like to try that? Somehow I doubt it. Why change the rules for abortion?

4. I don't understand your question about money funding other interests. Could you elaborate?

Wow. I can't believe MamaBear's answer... "If I were raped...". Has she ever been raped? She wants to force her hypothetical choices upon the victims of trauma and abuse? Does she know the kind of mental anguish that is associated with it? Until she has been through that, she will never know. I have never been through that, so I can't judge a person for not wanting to have it. She's assuming everyone is like HER and would want to carry their rapist's baby I know someone who was raped and had the baby... the baby (now grown) is the splitting image of the dad. How do you think mom treats the child? You guessed it...

I am not anti-abortion, I am pro-choice. But I can answer some of your questions. The anti-abortionists fully believe that after the horror of the rape, the woman should be forced to carry the rapist baby for nine months, and they do not care at all how she feels about it, because they see her as a baby sack, not a human being. If they did see her as a human being, they would understand the horror she went through with the rape and the added misery of carrying an unwanted rapist baby. Even if she gives it up for adoption, it is still not "over" for her, because one day that person can hunt her down not caring about her feelings because they are "curious". But the anti-abortionists don't mind if that happens either.

it is against the law (man's and God's) for a human being to kill another human being.
