Okay so basically..i c a big double standard.

Asians, indians, and even white people lighten there skin and it is just seen as another beauty regimen.

but when a black person lighten there skin it is a disgrace?

isn't it the same thing as whites wanting that golden tan?? SOme will fry themselves until it reaches that color..KNOWING that they will eventually turn back to the original color?

What is the big deal..?? Why is there such a stigma on black folks who lighten?

I'm black by the way..just asking out of curiosity??

If so..are you the crazy kind that has it all planned out?

Or just going to see what you may want..

Do you get aggressive?

And finally, do you have any crazy stories from the past of your shopping experiences?

This should be fun!!! Good Luck getting what you need!

Hope you had a good one, and found lots to be grateful for. Because we all should be, for whatever God gives us or takes away, for whatever we don't get or do get without wanting. I hope and pray He blesses you all even more than He already has.

I know many people believe Christians are basically asleep in their graves. But Paul says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. This does not seem like they are asleep to me. Can you explain how this fits with the idea of soul sleep?

2Corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

. . . and probably be at least nominally Christian, if in name only? First off, he can't be an atheist, as there would be no point to an atheist opposing someone he doesn't even believe exists. Same thing for agnostics -- why oppose something you're not sure of? Would it not be evil poetic justice of a sort for the AntiChrist to come out of a Christian background?

I ask this as a practicing Christian, just trying to get a feel for how y'all think on this -- not out of a warped sense of inflammatory "fun".

A father was at the beach with his children when his four-year old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, & led him to the shore, where a seagull lay dead in the sand. "Daddy, what happened to him?" the son asked. "He died & went to Heaven," the dad replied. The boy thought a moment & then said, "Did God throw him back down?"

A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments. They were ready to discuss the last one. The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was. Susie raised her hand, stood tall, & shouted, "Thou shall not take the covers off thy neighbor's wife."

At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny, a child in the kindergarten class, seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs. Later in the week his mother noticed him lying as though he was ill, & asked, "Johnny what is the matter?" Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife!"

This last one is out of the mouth of my co-workers 3-year old son Reese: "Our father, who does art in heaven, Howard is his name...."

Shouldn't that be in Polls and Surveys or something? All they do is TD or block any one who says no.

In other words, should only a Christian/Judaism course on intelligent design be taught or perhaps a Hinduism view point or perhaps a paganism perspective would be better?Naturally, when you introduce a belief, and intelligent design is 100% a belief and 0% proved fact, you have to consider all beliefs. So, which one would be the one that gets taught? In evolution or the big bang theory, there are no huge differences in the basic underlying concept. So, people are not graded on what they believe. But in intelligent design, you would indeed be graded on whether or not you buy into one certain God versus another God or Gods.

So, which one would be the right God or Gods to teach intelligently designed the world/universe in the classroom?Naturally, it would only be yours, right?

I was just wondering if anyone could expand on what the bible means by 'Jesus died for our sins'?

1) Does that refer to sins past, present and future?

2) If so, does that mean that no matter what we do, we will be forgiven?

3) [because I have a feeling that remorse for your sins would be an additional requirement to being forgiven by God]...

...why did Jesus die for our sins, when it didn't give us complete forgiveness in the long run? - i.e. we have to be remorseful for our sins as well.
