basically it means using your imagination to conjure up images. some people see the images (never like you see on tv, it's more like in a dream), some hear and some just feel the thing their visualizing.
sit in a quite place with no interuptions, no phone, ipod, doorbell etc. and close your eyes.
take a few breaths and allow the image of what you're trying to visualize come to you.
start with simple things, like imagining you're in a train and seeing whose int he car and out the window etc.
then move on to harder stuff
good luck.

It's really a form of self hypnosis. Works great for me. I use it all the time.It requires extreme focus. See what it is you want in your minds eye. You have to hold that picture as long as you can. It gets easier with practice. See it exactly, and this part is important, as you want it. Continue to do this until it manifests. With practice it will come quickly. I learned this in martial arts. I wasn't getting anywhere with my training until I utilized this technique.Patience and focus.

The mind can create any number of imaginary beings that then seem real to us.
