I don't consciously, but probably. We all respond to people based on their looks.
Here is an experiment you can try. Find a mid priced resturant and go in one day dressed like a bum. Not homeless, but in ripped clothes, looking like you don't have much cash. Then, a week or so later, go in dressed to the nines, hair done, expensive suit, make up if your a woman. Try to get the same server and watch how much better the service is. If your interested, go in a few weeks later in a costume, like Goth clothing or in a mechanices clothes.
They probably don't realize they are doing it.

Being attractive certainly helps, but it shouldn't be the criteria for higher tipping. The totality of the service by the waiter/waitress should be the determinant regarding higher tips. So, in short....no.

If they flirt with me. Although that's valiant to give tips to good waiters, which I do, I won't try to say that I'm not in any way swayed by a cute waiter. Also, if the waiter is really bad but is clearly having a rough night, I tip a little better. I suppose the only person who doesn't get a very good tip is someone who is completely indifferent.

$100, she was really nice by far the best waitress I've ever had, and she ended up being my wife so I really spent $0. and in a diner in my town there is this old hag that works there and we stoped there to eat and she was just the meanest person. She comes out and says So what ya want? She took forever to make our food. We left 1 penny as a tip lol

My tips are always in direct proportion to how much I like the waiter or waitress, and that depends naturally on appearance, deportment, attitude, energy, and responsiveness,

No, I actually resent having a waiter come on to me to get bigger tips. I can tell when they are just trying to be cute. What I care about is the service they give. I tip according to that alone.

I think we are influenced by attractive people all the time we are blind to thier faults blame nature at the roo it is a survival skilll of ''Good genes .
Socialogists claim we think attractive bueatifull people are more inteeelegent honest wiitty etc
Also taller men and women wwho wwear makeup get bigger saleries .
A lot of our social habits are primative and Illogical .To be honest I think I would pay ana ttractive waiting person more . Although here in England to get a tip out of the english is like getting blood out of a stone !!!!

When I was a waitress I received better tips when I wore makeup, did my hair and dressed nicer. It wasn't that I dressed badly or didn't brush my hair on other days, it's just when I really tried dressing nicely that I received the better tips.
I used to say if you want to get tipped like a French whore you had to dress like one....it was a joke because even my "sexiest" outfit was tame compared to most=)
I would like to say that the women really tipped me better when I dressed up. I wasn't acting any differently, I didn't flirt with my customers or anything. I think it's subconscious, as horrible as that sounds.

People are naturally more open and attracted to pretty people. It's just a fact. So, yes, sometimes more attractive servers get higher tips.
